MariaDB server is a community developed fork of MySQL server. From 10.6.1 until 10.6.28, 10.11.19, 11.4.13, 11.8.9, 12.3.3, and 13.0.2, ST_Area reads beyond the allocated buffer when processing invalid WKB for a MultiPolygon because the multi-polygon parser advances past a nested geometry header without first verifying enough input remains. A low-privileged remote attacker can supply malformed spatial data to disclose memory useful for bypassing ASLR as part of a multi-vulnerability chain. This issue is fixed in versions 10.6.28, 10.11.19, 11.4.13, 11.8.9, 12.3.3, and 13.0.2.\nhttps://www.cve.org/CVERecord?id=CVE-2026-85745https://github.com/MariaDB/server/security/advisories/GHSA-p7v9-24h4-mch8https://github.com/MariaDB/server/commit/2bf355e361db85153fdfba7b8a0f0d114d6a26cehttps://github.com/MariaDB/server/releases/tag/mariadb-10.11.19https://github.com/MariaDB/server/releases/tag/mariadb-10.6.28https://github.com/MariaDB/server/releases/tag/mariadb-11.4.13https://github.com/MariaDB/server/releases/tag/mariadb-11.8.9https://github.com/MariaDB/server/releases/tag/mariadb-12.3.3https://github.com/MariaDB/server/releases/tag/mariadb-13.0.2https://jira.mariadb.org/browse/MDEV-40328#mariadb #MariaDB #server#CVE_2026_85745#bot", "url": "https://infosec.exchange/users/cve/statuses/117451562732031023"}, {"timestamp": "2026-10-16T17:17:51.020Z", "date_only": false, "value": "2026-10-16T17:17:51.020", "kind": "milestone", "label": "Published", "source": "fkie_nvd \u00b7 FKIE_CVE-2026-85745", "record": "FKIE_CVE-2026-85745", "field": "published"}, {"timestamp": "2026-10-16T18:09:12.750Z", "date_only": false, "value": "2026-10-16T18:09:12.750", "kind": "other", "label": "Updated", "source": "fkie_nvd \u00b7 FKIE_CVE-2026-85745", "record": "FKIE_CVE-2026-85745", "field": "lastModified"}]}
