Out-of-bounds Read in r_bin_java_constant_value_attr_new function in radareorg/radare2
Summary
Out-of-bounds Read in r_bin_java_constant_value_attr_new function in GitHub repository radareorg/radare2 prior to 5.7.0. The bug causes the program reads data past the end 2f the intented buffer. Typically, this can allow attackers to read sensitive information from other memory locations or cause a crash. More details see [CWE-125: Out-of-bounds read](https://cwe.mitre.org/data/definitions/125.html).

Title
Espressif Bluetooth Mesh Stack Vulnerable to Out-of-bounds Write leading to memory buffer corruption
Summary
ESP-IDF is the official development framework for Espressif SoCs. In Espressif’s Bluetooth Mesh SDK (`ESP-BLE-MESH`), a memory corruption vulnerability can be triggered during provisioning, because there is no check for the `SegN` field of the Transaction Start PDU. This can result in memory corruption related attacks and potentially attacker gaining control of the entire system. Patch commits are available on the 4.1, 4.2, 4.3 and 4.4 branches and users are recommended to upgrade. The upgrade is applicable for all applications and users of `ESP-BLE-MESH` component from `ESP-IDF`. As it is implemented in the Bluetooth Mesh stack, there is no workaround for the user to fix the application layer without upgrading the underlying firmware.

CVE-2023-20169 (GCVE-0-2023-20169)

Vulnerability from cvelistv5 – Published: 2023-08-23 18:19 – Updated: 2024-08-02 09:05
VLAI
Summary
A vulnerability in the Intermediate System-to-Intermediate System (IS-IS) protocol of Cisco NX-OS Software for the Cisco Nexus 3000 Series Switches and Cisco Nexus 9000 Series Switches in standalone NX-OS mode could allow an unauthenticated, adjacent attacker to cause the IS-IS process to unexpectedly restart, which could cause an affected device to reload. This vulnerability is due to insufficient input validation when parsing an ingress IS-IS packet. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending a crafted IS-IS packet to an affected device. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to cause a denial of service (DoS) condition due to the unexpected restart of the IS-IS process, which could cause the affected device to reload. Note: The IS-IS protocol is a routing protocol. To exploit this vulnerability, an attacker must be Layer 2 adjacent to the affected device.
