Details

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:

net: Add rx_skb of kfree_skb to raw_tp_null_args[].

Yan Zhai reported a BPF prog could trigger a null-ptr-deref [0] in trace_kfree_skb if the prog does not check if rx_sk is NULL.

Commit c53795d48ee8 ("net: add rx_sk to trace_kfree_skb") added rx_sk to trace_kfree_skb, but rx_sk is optional and could be NULL.

Let's add kfree_skb to raw_tp_null_args[] to let the BPF verifier validate such a prog and prevent the issue.

Now we fail to load such a prog:

wifi: rtw89: pci: validate sequence number of TX release report

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:

scsi: ufs: core: Cancel RTC work during ufshcd_remove()

Currently, RTC work is only cancelled during __ufshcd_wl_suspend(). When ufshcd is removed in ufshcd_remove(), RTC work is not cancelled. Due to this, any further trigger of the RTC work after ufshcd_remove() would result in a NULL pointer dereference as below:

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:

skbuff: skb_segment, Call zero copy functions before using skbuff frags

Commit bf5c25d60861 ("skbuff: in skb_segment, call zerocopy functions once per nskb") added the call to zero copy functions in skb_segment(). The change introduced a bug in skb_segment() because skb_orphan_frags() may possibly change the number of fragments or allocate new fragments altogether leaving nrfrags and frag to point to the old values. In this case calling skb_orphan_frags() updated nr_frags leaving nrfrags local variable in skb_segment() stale. This resulted in the code hitting i >= nrfrags prematurely and trying to move to next frag_skb using list_skb pointer, which was NULL, and caused kernel panic. Move the call to zero copy functions before using frags and nr_frags.
