GHSA-MRQ3-QX26-XJXJ
Vulnerability from github – Published: 2025-05-01 15:31 – Updated: 2025-11-06 18:32In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
i2c: cros-ec-tunnel: defer probe if parent EC is not present
When i2c-cros-ec-tunnel and the EC driver are built-in, the EC parent device will not be found, leading to NULL pointer dereference.
That can also be reproduced by unbinding the controller driver and then loading i2c-cros-ec-tunnel module (or binding the device).

GHSA-MV6Q-V23C-9757
Vulnerability from github – Published: 2026-07-15 00:31 – Updated: 2026-07-15 15:33A null pointer dereference vulnerability exists in the Matter SDK (connectedhomeip) before 1.4.0, affecting the ReadRevisionAttribute function used in multiple clusters (Channel, Account Login, TargetNavigator, etc.). The function lacks proper validation of the delegate pointer before dereferencing. A remote unauthenticated attacker can exploit this issue by sending a crafted read request, causing the device to crash (denial of service). This issue has been confirmed in SDK version v1.4 (commit ab3d5ae).

Mitigation MIT-56
For any pointers that could have been modified or provided from a function that can return NULL, check the pointer for NULL before use. When working with a multithreaded or otherwise asynchronous environment, ensure that proper locking APIs are used to lock before the check, and unlock when it has finished [REF-1484].
Mitigation
Select a programming language that is not susceptible to these issues.
Mitigation
Check the results of all functions that return a value and verify that the value is non-null before acting upon it.
Mitigation
Identify all variables and data stores that receive information from external sources, and apply input validation to make sure that they are only initialized to expected values.
Mitigation
Explicitly initialize all variables and other data stores, either during declaration or just before the first usage.
No CAPEC attack patterns related to this CWE.
