Details

A vulnerability was found in the Linux kernel's eBPF verifier when handling internal data structures. Internal memory locations could be returned to userspace. A local attacker with the permissions to insert eBPF code to the kernel can use this to leak internal kernel memory details defeating some of the exploit mitigations in place for the kernel. This flaws affects kernel versions < v5.16-rc6

Vulnerability from github – Published: 2022-05-13 01:14 – Updated: 2022-05-13 01:14
VLAI
Details

A vulnerability in the detection engine of Cisco Firepower Threat Defense Software could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to cause the unexpected restart of the SNORT detection engine, resulting in a denial of service (DoS) condition. The vulnerability is due to the incomplete error handling of the SSL or TLS packet header during the connection establishment. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending a crafted SSL or TLS packet during the connection handshake. An exploit could allow the attacker to cause the SNORT detection engine to unexpectedly restart, resulting in a partial DoS condition while the detection engine restarts. Versions prior to 6.2.3.4 are affected.

Details

When curl is instructed to download content using the metalink feature, thecontents is verified against a hash provided in the metalink XML file. The metalink XML file points out to the client how to get the same contentfrom a set of different URLs, potentially hosted by different servers and theclient can then download the file from one or several of them. In a serial orparallel manner. If one of the servers hosting the contents has been breached and the contentsof the specific file on that server is replaced with a modified payload, curlshould detect this when the hash of the file mismatches after a completeddownload. It should remove the contents and instead try getting the contentsfrom another URL. This is not done, and instead such a hash mismatch is onlymentioned in text and the potentially malicious content is kept in the file ondisk.

Summary
OpenStack Neutron's unsupported dport option prevents applying security groups
Details

An issue was discovered in the iptables firewall module in OpenStack Neutron before 10.0.8, 11.x before 11.0.7, 12.x before 12.0.6, and 13.x before 13.0.3. By setting a destination port in a security group rule along with a protocol that doesn't support that option (for example, VRRP), an authenticated user may block further application of security group rules for instances from any project/tenant on the compute hosts to which it's applied. (Only deployments using the iptables security group driver are affected.)

Vulnerability from github – Published: 2022-05-13 01:01 – Updated: 2022-05-13 01:01
VLAI
Details

A missing error check exists in the Multi-Camera interface used by the Foscam C1 Indoor HD Camera running application firmware 2.52.2.43. A specially crafted request on port 10001 could allow an attacker to reset the user accounts to factory defaults, without authentication.

Vulnerability from github – Published: 2025-07-11 15:31 – Updated: 2025-07-11 15:31
VLAI
Details

An Improper Handling of Exceptional Conditions vulnerability in Berkeley Packet Filter (BPF) processing of Juniper Networks Junos OS allows an attacker, in rare cases, sending specific, unknown traffic patterns to cause the FPC and system to crash and restart.

BPF provides a raw interface to data link layers in a protocol independent fashion. Internally within the Junos kernel, due to a rare timing issue (race condition), when a BPF instance is cloned, the newly created interface causes an internal structure leakage, leading to a system crash. The precise content and timing of the traffic patterns is indeterminate, but has been seen in a lab environment multiple times.

This issue is more likely to occur when packet capturing is enabled.  See required configuration below.

This issue affects Junos OS:

  • all versions before 21.2R3-S9,
  • from 21.4 before 21.4R3-S10,
  • from 22.2 before 22.2R3-S6,
  • from 22.4 before 22.4R3-S7,
  • from 23.2 before 23.2R2-S3,
  • from 23.4 before 23.4R2-S3,
  • from 24.2 before 24.2R1-S1, 24.2R2.
