GHSA-P5W9-856P-8Q4G
Vulnerability from github – Published: 2021-08-25 21:00 – Updated: 2021-08-24 17:42The socket2 crate has assumed std::net::SocketAddrV4
and std::net::SocketAddrV6 have the same memory layout as the system C representation
sockaddr. It has simply casted the pointers to convert the socket addresses to the
system representation. The standard library does not say anything about the memory
layout, and this will cause invalid memory access if the standard library
changes the implementation. No warnings or errors will be emitted once the
change happens.

GHSA-P9VW-F8RG-C624
Vulnerability from github – Published: 2025-01-21 15:31 – Updated: 2025-02-28 21:32In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
exfat: fix the new buffer was not zeroed before writing
Before writing, if a buffer_head marked as new, its data must be zeroed, otherwise uninitialized data in the page cache will be written.
So this commit uses folio_zero_new_buffers() to zero the new buffers before ->write_end().
