Title
Missing Authorization check in SAP ERP and SAP S/4 HANA (Private Cloud and On-Premise)
Summary
Due to a missing authorization check in SAP ERP and SAP S/4HANA (Private Cloud and On-Premise), an authenticated attacker could execute a particular ABAP report to overwrite any existing eight?character executable ABAP report without authorization. Title
RTMKit Addons for Elementor <= 2.0.2 - Authenticated (Author+) Missing Authorization to Widget Configuration Modification
Summary
The RTMKit Addons for Elementor plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to unauthorized modification of data due to missing capability checks on the save_widget() and reset_all_widgets() functions in all versions up to, and including, 2.0.2. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Author-level access and above, to modify or reset site-wide widget configurations.

Title
Sim Studio AI - MongoDB SSRF and Arbitrary Document Deletion
Summary
On SimStudio version below to 0.5.74, the MongoDB tool endpoints accept arbitrary connection parameters from the caller without authentication or host restrictions. Title
Sim Studio AI - Unauthenticated OAuth Token Theft
Summary
On SimStudio version below to 0.5.74, the `/api/auth/oauth/token` endpoint contains a code path that bypasses all authorization checks when provided with `credentialAccountUserId` and `providerId` parameters. An unauthenticated attacker can retrieve OAuth access tokens for any user by supplying their user ID and a provider name, effectively stealing credentials to third-party services.

Title
CtrlPanel: Missing Authorization on Admin Write Endpoints Allows RBAC Bypass
Summary
CtrlPanel is open-source billing software for hosting providers. Versions 1.1.1 and prior contains a broken access control vulnerability where multiple admin controllers enforce permission checks on form display methods but omit equivalent checks on the corresponding write methods, allowing any authenticated user to bypass RBAC via direct POST/PATCH requests. Controllers missing checks on write methods store() and update() include ApplicationApiController (admin.api.write), CouponController (admin.coupons.write), PartnerController (admin.partners.write), ShopProductController (admin.store.write), UsefulLinkController (admin.useful_links.write), and VoucherController (admin.voucher.write); ProductController (admin.products.edit), ServerController (write/change_owner/change_identifier), and UserController (write/change_email/change_credits/change_username/change_password/change_role/change_referral/change_ptero/change_serverlimit) are missing checks on update() only, and ActivityLogController exposed empty stub store()/update() methods that silently accepted any request. An authenticated attacker without admin write privileges can issue API credentials, generate unlimited coupons and vouchers, assign arbitrary partner commission and discount rates, alter shop product pricing and limits, reassign server ownership or identifiers, and modify user accounts including roles, credits, passwords, and linked Pterodactyl IDs to achieve full privilege escalation, as well as abuse logBackIn() without the login_as permission to interfere with admin impersonation sessions. This issue has been fixed in version 1.2.0.

Title
AVIdeo has Video Password Protection Bypass via API Endpoints Returning Full Playback Sources Without Password Verification
Summary
WWBN AVideo is an open source video platform. In versions up to and including 26.0, the `get_api_video_file` and `get_api_video` API endpoints in AVideo return full video playback sources (direct MP4 URLs, HLS manifests) for password-protected videos without verifying the video password. While the normal web playback flow enforces password checks via the `CustomizeUser::getModeYouTube()` hook, this enforcement is completely absent from the API code path. An unauthenticated attacker can retrieve direct playback URLs for any password-protected video by calling the API directly. Commit be344206f2f461c034ad2f1c5d8212dd8a52b8c7 fixes the issue.

Title
AVideo: Mass User PII Disclosure via Missing Authorization in YPTWallet users.json.php
Summary
WWBN AVideo is an open source video platform. In versions 26.0 and prior, the plugin/YPTWallet/view/users.json.php endpoint returns all platform users with their personal information and wallet balances to any authenticated user. The endpoint checks User::isLogged() but does not check User::isAdmin(), so any registered user can dump the full user database. At time of publication, there are no publicly available patches.

Title
Paid Membership Plugin, Ecommerce, User Registration Form, Login Form, User Profile & Restrict Content – ProfilePress <= 4.16.11 - Missing Authorization to Authenticated (Subscriber+) Membership Payment Bypass
Summary
The Paid Membership Plugin, Ecommerce, User Registration Form, Login Form, User Profile & Restrict Content – ProfilePress plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to unauthorized membership payment bypass in all versions up to, and including, 4.16.11. This is due to a missing ownership verification on the `change_plan_sub_id` parameter in the `process_checkout()` function. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with subscriber level access and above, to reference another user's active subscription during checkout to manipulate proration calculations, allowing them to obtain paid lifetime membership plans without payment via the `ppress_process_checkout` AJAX action.

Mitigation

Phase: Architecture and Design

Description:

  • Divide the product into anonymous, normal, privileged, and administrative areas. Reduce the attack surface by carefully mapping roles with data and functionality. Use role-based access control (RBAC) [REF-229] to enforce the roles at the appropriate boundaries.
  • Note that this approach may not protect against horizontal authorization, i.e., it will not protect a user from attacking others with the same role.
Mitigation

Phase: Architecture and Design

Description:

  • Ensure that access control checks are performed related to the business logic. These checks may be different than the access control checks that are applied to more generic resources such as files, connections, processes, memory, and database records. For example, a database may restrict access for medical records to a specific database user, but each record might only be intended to be accessible to the patient and the patient's doctor [REF-7].
Mitigation ID: MIT-4.4

Phase: Architecture and Design

Strategy: Libraries or Frameworks

Description:

  • Use a vetted library or framework that does not allow this weakness to occur or provides constructs that make this weakness easier to avoid.
  • For example, consider using authorization frameworks such as the JAAS Authorization Framework [REF-233] and the OWASP ESAPI Access Control feature [REF-45].
Mitigation

Phase: Architecture and Design

Description:

  • For web applications, make sure that the access control mechanism is enforced correctly at the server side on every page. Users should not be able to access any unauthorized functionality or information by simply requesting direct access to that page.
  • One way to do this is to ensure that all pages containing sensitive information are not cached, and that all such pages restrict access to requests that are accompanied by an active and authenticated session token associated with a user who has the required permissions to access that page.
Mitigation

Phases: System Configuration, Installation

Description:

  • Use the access control capabilities of your operating system and server environment and define your access control lists accordingly. Use a "default deny" policy when defining these ACLs.
CAPEC-665: Exploitation of Thunderbolt Protection Flaws

An adversary leverages a firmware weakness within the Thunderbolt protocol, on a computing device to manipulate Thunderbolt controller firmware in order to exploit vulnerabilities in the implementation of authorization and verification schemes within Thunderbolt protection mechanisms. Upon gaining physical access to a target device, the adversary conducts high-level firmware manipulation of the victim Thunderbolt controller SPI (Serial Peripheral Interface) flash, through the use of a SPI Programing device and an external Thunderbolt device, typically as the target device is booting up. If successful, this allows the adversary to modify memory, subvert authentication mechanisms, spoof identities and content, and extract data and memory from the target device. Currently 7 major vulnerabilities exist within Thunderbolt protocol with 9 attack vectors as noted in the Execution Flow.
