Vulnerability from variot

A buffer overflow was addressed with improved bounds checking. This issue is fixed in macOS Big Sur 11.2, Security Update 2021-001 Catalina, Security Update 2021-001 Mojave, iOS 14.4 and iPadOS 14.4. Processing a maliciously crafted USD file may lead to unexpected application termination or arbitrary code execution. This vulnerability allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on affected installations of Apple macOS. Interaction with the ModelIO library is required to exploit this vulnerability but attack vectors may vary depending on the implementation. The specific flaw exists within the ModelIO framework. Crafted data in a USD file can trigger an overflow of a heap-based buffer. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to execute code in the context of the current process. Apple macOS is a set of dedicated operating systems developed by Apple Corporation for Mac computers. An input validation error vulnerability exists in the Apple IO Model, which originates from the handling of untrusted input in the Model I/O component of macOS. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA256

"data": "A buffer overflow was addressed with improved bounds checking. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----\nHash: SHA256\n\nAPPLE-SA-2021-02-01-2 Additional information for\nAPPLE-SA-2021-01-26-1 iOS 14.4 and iPadOS 14.4\n\niOS 14.4 and iPadOS 14.4 addresses the following issues.
