Vulnerability from github – Published: 2021-08-30 16:14 – Updated: 2021-08-26 19:36Impact
Insecure direct object reference of log files of the Import/Export feature
Patches
We recommend updating to the current version 6.4.3.1. You can get the update to 6.4.3.1 regularly via the Auto-Updater or directly via the download overview.
https://www.shopware.com/en/download/#shopware-6
Workarounds
For older versions of 6.1, 6.2, and 6.3, corresponding security measures are also available via a plugin. For the full range of functions, we recommend updating to the latest Shopware version.

GHSA-5529-77MG-WR4C
Vulnerability from github – Published: 2026-09-18 09:31 – Updated: 2026-09-18 09:31The Download Manager plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Insecure Direct Object Reference in versions up to, and including, 3.3.68 via the duplicate() function hooked on admin_init. This is due to the handler only verifying the generic 'edit_posts' capability and a plugin-wide static nonce (NONCE_KEY) without any object-level authorization check against the targeted wpdmpro package ID. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Author-level access and above, to duplicate arbitrary Download Manager packages owned by other users (including administrators), which copies all package metadata — including protected file references, role-based access restrictions, and password lock settings — into an attacker-owned clone that they can then edit to remove restrictions and download the previously protected files.

GHSA-553Q-8VCM-9VXV
Vulnerability from github – Published: 2026-09-26 15:31 – Updated: 2026-09-26 15:31Capgo (capgo.app) through version 12.261.0 contains an incomplete access-control fix for the public.sso_providers table. Migration 20260826100000_sso_providers_block_direct_active_insert.sql installs a BEFORE UPDATE guard (enforce_sso_provider_client_update_guard()) that freezes only the dns_verified_at, domain, status and enforce_sso columns; provider_id (as well as metadata_url and attribute_mapping) is left writable. Because the table is granted ALL to the anon and authenticated roles with no column-level restriction, and PostgreSQL row-level security policies such as allow_org_admins_update_sso_providers constrain only which row may be updated and not which columns, a user holding the org_admin tier permission org.update_settings can PATCH provider_id over PostgREST to an identity provider under their control. Since provider_id is the trust anchor binding an email domain to an authorized IdP, the attacker can then authenticate through their own IdP while asserting the org owner's email; the server-side provider match succeeds and the merge routine attaches the attacker's SSO identity to the existing owner account, nulls its password, and deletes its other identities and sessions. This results in vertical privilege escalation from org_admin to org owner/super_admin, account takeover, and lockout of the legitimate owner. Exploitation requires that the target organization has an active SSO provider configured and that the attacker already holds org_admin in that organization. No patched version is available.

GHSA-556H-CXM4-3558
Vulnerability from github – Published: 2025-11-25 09:31 – Updated: 2026-04-08 21:33The Frontend File Manager Plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Insecure Direct Object Reference in all versions up to, and including, 23.4. This is due to the plugin not validating file ownership before processing file rename requests in the '/wpfm/v1/file-rename' REST API endpoint. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Subscriber-level access and above, to rename files uploaded by other users via the 'fileid' parameter.

Mitigation
For each and every data access, ensure that the user has sufficient privilege to access the record that is being requested.
Mitigation
Make sure that the key that is used in the lookup of a specific user's record is not controllable externally by the user or that any tampering can be detected.
Mitigation
Use encryption in order to make it more difficult to guess other legitimate values of the key or associate a digital signature with the key so that the server can verify that there has been no tampering.
No CAPEC attack patterns related to this CWE.
