Title
Decidim's comments API allows access to all commentable resources
Summary
Decidim is a participatory democracy framework. Starting in version 0.0.1 and prior to versions 0.30.5 and 0.31.1, the root level `commentable` field in the API allows access to all commentable resources within the platform, without any permission checks. All Decidim instances are impacted that have not secured the `/api` endpoint. The `/api` endpoint is publicly available with the default configuration. Versions 0.30.5 and 0.31.1 fix the issue. As a workaround, limit the scope to only authenticated users by limiting access to the `/api` endpoint. This would require custom code or installing the 3rd party module `Decidim::Apiauth`. With custom code, the `/api` endpoint can be limited to only authenticated users. The same configuration can be also used without the `allow` statements to disable all traffic to the the `/api` endpoint. When considering a workaround and the seriousness of the vulnerability, please consider the nature of the platform. If the platform is primarily serving public data, this vulnerability is not serious by its nature. If the platform is protecting some resources, e.g. inside private participation spaces, the vulnerability may expose some data to the attacker that is not meant public. For those who have enabled the organization setting "Force users to authenticate before access organization", the scope of this vulnerability is limited to the users who are allowed to log in to the Decidim platform. This setting was introduced in version 0.19.0 and it was applied to the `/api` endpoint in version 0.22.0.

Title
RustFS missing admin authorization on notification target endpoints, which allows unauthenticated configuration of event webhooks
Summary
RustFS is a distributed object storage system built in Rust. Prior to 1.0.0-alpha.94, all four notification target admin API endpoints in `rustfs/src/admin/handlers/event.rs` use a `check_permissions` helper that validates authentication only (access key + session token), without performing any admin-action authorization via `validate_admin_request`. Every other admin handler in the codebase correctly calls `validate_admin_request` with a specific `AdminAction`. This is the only admin handler file that skips authorization. A non-admin user can overwrite a shared admin-defined notification target by name, causing subsequent bucket events to be delivered to an attacker-controlled endpoint. This enables cross-user event interception and audit evasion. 1.0.0-alpha.94 contains a patch.

Summary
The FOX – Currency Switcher Professional for WooCommerce plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to unauthorized data loss due to a missing capability check on the 'admin_head' function in all versions up to, and including, 1.4.5. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Contributor-level access and above, to delete the entire multi-currency configuration by visiting any wp-admin page with the `woocs_reset` parameter appended. Additionally, because no nonce is verified, this is also exploitable via Cross-Site Request Forgery against any administrator. The vulnerability may also be exploited by Subscriber-level users if the site is configured to allow Subscriber access to 'wp-admin' pages.

In certain circumstances, Spring Boot's default web security is ineffective allowing unauthorized access to all endpoints. For an application to be vulnerable, it must: be a servlet-based web application; have no Spring Security configuration of its own and rely on the default web security filter chain; depend on spring-boot-actuator-autoconfigure; not depend on spring-boot-health. If any of the above does not apply, the application is not vulnerable. Affected: Spring Boot 4.0.0–4.0.5; upgrade to 4.0.6 or later per vendor advisory.

Summary
The Paid Memberships Pro plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to unauthorized modification and disruption of Stripe webhook configuration in all versions up to, and including, 3.6.5. This is due to missing capability checks on the `wp_ajax_pmpro_stripe_create_webhook`, `wp_ajax_pmpro_stripe_delete_webhook`, and `wp_ajax_pmpro_stripe_rebuild_webhook` AJAX handlers. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Subscriber-level access and above, to delete, create, or rebuild the site's Stripe webhook, disrupting all payment processing, subscription renewal synchronization, cancellation handling, and failed payment management.

Craft CMS is a content management system (CMS). In versions 5.6.0 through 5.9.14, the `actionSavePermissions()` endpoint allows a user with only `viewUsers` permission to remove arbitrary users from all user groups. While `_saveUserGroups()` enforces per-group authorization for additions, it performs no equivalent authorization check for removals, so submitting an empty `groups` value removes all existing group memberships. Version 5.9.15 contains a patch.

Title
EspoCRM: Broken Access Control / IDOR in Note Pinning API allows unauthorized modification of notes
Summary
EspoCRM is an open source customer relationship management application. Prior to 9.3.5, a business logic flaw (Broken Access Control) in EspoCRM 9.3.3 allows low-privileged users to pin arbitrary notes without having the required edit permissions for the parent object. Due to a "write first, authorize later" execution flaw in the backend API, even though the server correctly returns a 403 Forbidden error, the targeted note's pinned status is already persistently modified in the database. The root cause lies in the server-side processing of the POST /api/v1/Note/{id}/pin endpoint. In application/Espo/Tools/Stream/Api/PostNotePin.php, the process() method first calls getNote($id) before calling checkParent($note). This vulnerability is fixed in 9.3.5.

Description:

  • Divide the product into anonymous, normal, privileged, and administrative areas. Reduce the attack surface by carefully mapping roles with data and functionality. Use role-based access control (RBAC) [REF-229] to enforce the roles at the appropriate boundaries.
  • Note that this approach may not protect against horizontal authorization, i.e., it will not protect a user from attacking others with the same role.

CAPEC-665: Exploitation of Thunderbolt Protection Flaws

An adversary leverages a firmware weakness within the Thunderbolt protocol, on a computing device to manipulate Thunderbolt controller firmware in order to exploit vulnerabilities in the implementation of authorization and verification schemes within Thunderbolt protection mechanisms. Upon gaining physical access to a target device, the adversary conducts high-level firmware manipulation of the victim Thunderbolt controller SPI (Serial Peripheral Interface) flash, through the use of a SPI Programing device and an external Thunderbolt device, typically as the target device is booting up. If successful, this allows the adversary to modify memory, subvert authentication mechanisms, spoof identities and content, and extract data and memory from the target device. Currently 7 major vulnerabilities exist within Thunderbolt protocol with 9 attack vectors as noted in the Execution Flow.
