Der 802.11-Frame-Aggregation-Funktionalität fehlen mehrere Prüfungen und Validierungen (die von der Spezifikation nicht gefordert werden), wodurch bestimmte Teile eines Frames ungeschützt bleiben. Bei der Fragmentierungsfunktion für 802.11-Frames fehlen Überprüfungen, was mitunter zur Entgegennahme von unverschlüsselten Frames oder Fragmenten führt. Außerdem gibt es bei EAPoL (Extensible Authentication Protocol over Local Area Network) und TKIP (Temporal Key Integrity Protocol) mehrere produktspezifische Implementierungsfehler. Ein Angreifer innerhalb der WiFi-Funkreichweite kann diese Schwachstellen ausnutzen, um beliebigen Datenverkehr in ein drahtloses Netzwerk zu injizieren und Daten zu exfiltrieren.
