WebKit in Apple iOS before 8 makes it easier for remote attackers to track users during private browsing via a crafted web site that reads HTML5 application-cache data that had been stored during normal browsing. Safari contains an issue in the handling of application cache where contents that were cached when the private browsing function is turned off may be used after the private browsing function is turned on. Yosuke HASEGAWA of NetAgent Co.,Ltd. reported this vulnerability to IPA. JPCERT/CC coordinated with the developer under Information Security Early Warning Partnership.After a website is visited when the private browsing function is turned off and the site is visited again after the private browsing function is turned on, the website may be able to determine that the same user visited the website. Apple iOS and TV are prone to multiple security vulnerabilities. These issues affect the following components: 802.1X, Accounts, Accessibility, Accounts Framework, Address Book, App Installation, Assets, Bluetooth, CoreGraphics, Foundation, Home & Lock Screen, iMessage, IOAcceleratorFamily, IOAcceleratorFamily, IOHIDFamily, IOHIDFamily, IOKit, Kernel, Libnotify, Mail, Profiles, Safari, Sandbox Profiles, syslog and WebKit components.
