GHSA-55J9-P2QJ-GVRC
Vulnerability from github – Published: 2026-08-28 09:31 – Updated: 2026-08-29 09:30
VLAI
Details
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
net: ethernet: mtk_eth_soc: pass eth to mtk_handle_irq_rx in poll_controller
mtk_handle_irq_rx expects a struct mtk_eth * (matching the request_irq cookie), but mtk_poll_controller incorrectly passed the net_device *. Calling ndo_poll_controller with CONFIG_NET_POLL_CONTROLLER enabled would then crash.
Severity
9.8 (Critical)

The MITRE ATT&CK techniques below are AI-generated suggestions, inferred from the description of the
vulnerability by the CIRCL/vulnerability-attack-technique-classification-roberta-base
model, served locally by ML-Gateway.
They have not been verified by an analyst and are provided for guidance only.
The approach is described in our paper Mapping CVEs to MITRE ATT&CK Techniques: A Curated Gold-Set Classifier and the Limits of LLM-Assisted Label Expansion.
