Assimp provided by Open Asset Import Library contains a heap-based buffer overflow vulnerability (CWE-122). Yuhei Kawakoya of NTT Security Holdings reported this vulnerability to IPA. JPCERT/CC coordinated with the developer under Information Security Early Warning Partnership.
