BREW-ADR-VIEWER-CVE-2019-10906 (GHSA-462W-V97R-4M45)
Vulnerability from osv_homebrew – Published: 2026-08-13 16:35 – Updated: 2026-09-09 23:40 – Source websiteIn Pallets Jinja before 2.10.1, str.format_map allows a sandbox escape.
The sandbox is used to restrict what code can be evaluated when rendering untrusted, user-provided templates. Due to the way string formatting works in Python, the str.format_map method could be used to escape the sandbox.
This issue was previously addressed for the str.format method in Jinja 2.8.1, which discusses the issue in detail. However, the less-common str.format_map method was overlooked. This release applies the same sandboxing to both methods.
If you cannot upgrade Jinja, you can override the is_safe_attribute method on the sandbox and explicitly disallow the format_map method on string objects.

BREW-ANSIBLE-CVE-2019-10906 (GHSA-462W-V97R-4M45)
Vulnerability from osv_homebrew – Published: 2026-08-13 16:35 – Updated: 2026-10-09 02:52 – Source websiteIn Pallets Jinja before 2.10.1, str.format_map allows a sandbox escape.

BREW-ANSIBLE@12-CVE-2019-10906 (GHSA-462W-V97R-4M45)
Vulnerability from osv_homebrew – Published: 2026-08-13 16:35 – Updated: 2026-09-09 23:41 – Source websiteIn Pallets Jinja before 2.10.1, str.format_map allows a sandbox escape.

BREW-ARCHGW-CVE-2019-10906 (GHSA-462W-V97R-4M45)
Vulnerability from osv_homebrew – Published: 2026-08-13 16:36 – Updated: 2026-09-09 23:41 – Source websiteIn Pallets Jinja before 2.10.1, str.format_map allows a sandbox escape.

How durations are calculated
Following the VTEM framework (Black Hat USA 2015), time to patch starts when the vendor or a coordinator was informed, total time to patch at discovery, and disclosure to patch at public disclosure; vendor response time runs from the report to its acknowledgement. Time to exploit and time unpatched start at the earliest discovery or report, falling back to public disclosure. Unpatched time ends at the first recorded patch, or the calculation time when no patch is recorded. Exploitation to patch shows the interval between those two events; a published proof of concept is a public exploit, not exploitation.
Each result shows its source dates. A negative interval means the end event came first; when date-only inputs leave the order open, the result says so. Date-only inputs are approximate. The earliest evidence wins: KEV report dates and sightings are labelled as such. Records describing another vulnerability are listed but never calculated from, and a PoC alone does not establish exploitation. Missing patch evidence does not prove that no patch exists. Filters below change the event list only.
