The sco_sock_getsockopt_old function in net/bluetooth/sco.c in the Linux kernel before 2.6.39 does not initialize a certain structure, which allows local users to obtain potentially sensitive information from kernel stack memory via the SCO_CONNINFO option. Hitachi JP1 products are prone to a cross-site scripting vulnerability because they fail to properly sanitize user-supplied input. An attacker may leverage this issue to execute arbitrary script code in the browser of an unsuspecting user in the context of the affected site. This may help the attacker steal cookie-based authentication credentials and launch other attacks. Vasiliy Kulikov discovered that the Comedi driver did not correctly clear memory. A local attacker could exploit this to read kernel stack memory, leading to a loss of privacy. (CVE-2011-2909)

After a standard system update you need to reboot your computer to make all the necessary changes.
ATTENTION: Due to an unavoidable ABI change the kernel updates have been given a new version number, which requires you to recompile and reinstall all third party kernel modules you might have installed. If you use linux-restricted-modules, you have to update that package as well to get modules which work with the new kernel version. Unless you manually uninstalled the standard kernel metapackages (e.g. linux-generic, linux-server, linux-powerpc), a standard system upgrade will automatically perform this as well.

net/bluetooth/sco.c in the Linux kernel before 2.6.39 does not initialize a certain structure, which allows local users to obtain potentially sensitive information from kernel stack memory via the SCO_CONNINFO option. Hitachi JP1 products are prone to a cross-site scripting vulnerability because they fail to properly sanitize user-supplied input. \nAn attacker may leverage this issue to execute arbitrary script code in the browser of an unsuspecting user in the context of the affected site.
