Huawei Mate7 is a smartphone product from China's Huawei company. There is a memory heap overflow vulnerability in Huawei Mate7's HIFI driver. An attacker can use this vulnerability to entice a user to install a malicious application to read and modify memory data, causing the system to reboot or gain root access to the phone. Huawei Smart Phones are prone to a local heap-based buffer-overflow vulnerability because it fails to perform adequate boundary checks on user-supplied data. Local attackers can exploit this issue to execute arbitrary code in the context of the affected application. Failed exploit attempts will result in denial-of-service conditions. The Huawei Mate 7 and P8 are smartphones from the Chinese company Huawei. HIFI driver is one of the HIFI (High Fidelity) audio drivers.
