This issue was addressed with improved checks. This issue is fixed in macOS Big Sur 11.2, Security Update 2021-001 Catalina, Security Update 2021-001 Mojave, watchOS 7.3, tvOS 14.4, iOS 14.4 and iPadOS 14.4. Processing a maliciously crafted image may lead to arbitrary code execution. Apple macOS is a set of dedicated operating systems developed by Apple Corporation for Mac computers. There is a security vulnerability in Apple macOS. The vulnerability originates from the boundary condition when handling font files in the FontParser component in macOS. A remote attacker could create a specially crafted file or web page that tricks a victim into opening the file, triggering an out-of-bounds read error and reading the contents of memory on the system.
