Advantech R-SeeNet Versions 2.4.17 and prior are vulnerable to a stack-based buffer overflow. An unauthorized attacker can remotely overflow the stack buffer and enable remote code execution. Advantech Co., Ltd. R-SeeNet Exists in an out-of-bounds write vulnerability.Information is obtained, information is tampered with, and service operation is interrupted. (DoS) It may be in a state. Authentication is not required to exploit this vulnerability.The specific flaw exists within the processing of POST requests sent to the show_code.php endpoint. When processing the filename element, the process does not properly validate the length of user-supplied data prior to copying it to a fixed-length stack-based buffer.
