Title
Honeywell IQ4x BMS Controller Missing authentication for critical function
Summary
The Honeywell IQ4x building management controller, exposes its full web-based HMI without authentication in its factory-default configuration. With no user module configured, security is disabled by design and the system operates under a System Guest (level 100) context, granting read/write privileges to any party able to reach the HTTP interface. Authentication controls are only enforced after a web user is created via U.htm, which dynamically enables the user module. Because this function is accessible prior to authentication, a remote user can create a new account with administrative read/write permissions enabling the user module and imposing authentication under attacker-controlled credentials. This action can effectively lock legitimate operators out of local and web-based configuration and administration.

Title
Trilium Notes: Authentication Bypass in Clipper API for Electron (Desktop) Builds
Summary
Trilium Notes is a cross-platform, hierarchical note taking application focused on building large personal knowledge bases. In versions 0.102.1 and prior, the Clipper API in Trilium Desktop (v0.101.3) allows full authentication bypass when running in an Electron environment. When Trilium detects an Electron environment, it explicitly disables authentication middleware for the Clipper API, exposing endpoints such as /api/clipper/notes to the network with no password, API token, or CSRF protection. An attacker on a shared network (for example, a corporate LAN or public Wi-Fi) can scan for open high-range ports using a tool like nmap, since Trilium often binds to ports such as 37840. Once a candidate port is found, an unauthenticated request to the Clipper handshake endpoint, which also bypasses authentication, confirms a Trilium instance by returning the application name and protocol version. This facilitates unauthorized data access, phishing, and local system compromise. The issue has been fixed in version 0.102.2.

Title
Vite Affected by Arbitrary File Read via Vite Dev Server WebSocket
Summary
Vite is a frontend tooling framework for JavaScript. From 6.0.0 to before 6.4.2, 7.3.2, and 8.0.5, if it is possible to connect to the Vite dev server’s WebSocket without an Origin header, an attacker can invoke fetchModule via the custom WebSocket event vite:invoke and combine file://... with ?raw (or ?inline) to retrieve the contents of arbitrary files on the server as a JavaScript string (e.g., export default "..."). The access control enforced in the HTTP request path (such as server.fs.allow) is not applied to this WebSocket-based execution path. This vulnerability is fixed in 6.4.2, 7.3.2, and 8.0.5.

Title
Post-Installation Re-entry via Cache-Dependent Install Guard Bypass in ci4ms
Summary
CI4MS is a CodeIgniter 4-based CMS skeleton that delivers a production-ready, modular architecture with RBAC authorization and theme support. Prior to 0.31.4.0, the install route guard in ci4ms relies solely on a volatile cache check (cache('settings')) combined with .env file existence to block post-installation access to the setup wizard. When the database is temporarily unreachable during a cache miss (TTL expiry or admin-triggered cache clear), the guard fails open, allowing an unauthenticated attacker to overwrite the .env file with attacker-controlled database credentials, achieving full application takeover. This vulnerability is fixed in 0.31.4.0.

Title
Dockyard's Unauthenticated Cron Endpoint in Dockyard Enables Container Enumeration and Database Manipulation
Summary
Dockyard is a Docker container management app. Prior to 1.1.0, Docker container start and stop operations are performed through GET requests without CSRF protection. A remote attacker can cause a logged-in administrator's browser to request /apps/action.php?action=stop&name=<container> or /apps/action.php?action=start&name=<container>, which starts or stops the target container. This vulnerability is fixed in 1.1.0.

Title
Traefik: Forwarded alias spoofing top pre-auth decision bypass
Summary
Traefik is an HTTP reverse proxy and load balancer. Prior to versions 2.11.43, 3.6.14, and 3.7.0-rc.2, there is a high severity authentication bypass vulnerability in Traefik's ForwardAuth and snippet-based authentication middleware. Traefik's forwarded-header sanitization logic targets only canonical header names (e.g., X-Forwarded-Proto) and does not strip or normalize alias variants that use underscores instead of dashes (e.g., X_Forwarded_Proto). These unsanitized alias headers are forwarded intact to the authentication backend. When the backend normalizes underscore and dash header forms equivalently, an attacker can inject spoofed trust context — such as a trusted scheme or host — through the alias headers and bypass authentication on protected routes without valid credentials. This issue has been patched in versions 2.11.43, 3.6.14, and 3.7.0-rc.2.

Title
marimo Affected by Pre-Auth Remote Code Execution via Terminal WebSocket Authentication Bypass
Summary
marimo is a reactive Python notebook. Prior to 0.23.0, Marimo has a Pre-Auth RCE vulnerability. The terminal WebSocket endpoint /terminal/ws lacks authentication validation, allowing an unauthenticated attacker to obtain a full PTY shell and execute arbitrary system commands. Unlike other WebSocket endpoints (e.g., /ws) that correctly call validate_auth() for authentication, the /terminal/ws endpoint only checks the running mode and platform support before accepting connections, completely skipping authentication verification. This vulnerability is fixed in 0.23.0.

Title
CrowdStrike LogScale Unauthenticated Path Traversal
Summary
CrowdStrike has released security updates to address a critical unauthenticated path traversal vulnerability (CVE-2026-40050) in LogScale. This vulnerability only requires mitigation by customers that host specific versions of LogScale and does not affect Next-Gen SIEM customers. The vulnerability exists in a specific cluster API endpoint that, if exposed, allows a remote attacker to read arbitrary files from the server filesystem without authentication. Next-Gen SIEM customers are not affected and do not need to take any action. CrowdStrike mitigated the vulnerability for LogScale SaaS customers by deploying network-layer blocks to all clusters on April 7, 2026. We have proactively reviewed all log data and there is no evidence of exploitation. LogScale Self-hosted customers should upgrade to a patched version immediately to remediate the vulnerability. CrowdStrike identified this vulnerability during continuous and ongoing product testing.

Mitigation

Phase: Architecture and Design

Description:

  • Divide the software into anonymous, normal, privileged, and administrative areas. Identify which of these areas require a proven user identity, and use a centralized authentication capability.
  • Identify all potential communication channels, or other means of interaction with the software, to ensure that all channels are appropriately protected, including those channels that are assumed to be accessible only by authorized parties. Developers sometimes perform authentication at the primary channel, but open up a secondary channel that is assumed to be private. For example, a login mechanism may be listening on one network port, but after successful authentication, it may open up a second port where it waits for the connection, but avoids authentication because it assumes that only the authenticated party will connect to the port.
  • In general, if the software or protocol allows a single session or user state to persist across multiple connections or channels, authentication and appropriate credential management need to be used throughout.
Mitigation ID: MIT-15

Phase: Architecture and Design

Description:

  • For any security checks that are performed on the client side, ensure that these checks are duplicated on the server side, in order to avoid CWE-602. Attackers can bypass the client-side checks by modifying values after the checks have been performed, or by changing the client to remove the client-side checks entirely. Then, these modified values would be submitted to the server.
Mitigation

Phase: Architecture and Design

Description:

  • Where possible, avoid implementing custom, "grow-your-own" authentication routines and consider using authentication capabilities as provided by the surrounding framework, operating system, or environment. These capabilities may avoid common weaknesses that are unique to authentication; support automatic auditing and tracking; and make it easier to provide a clear separation between authentication tasks and authorization tasks.
  • In environments such as the World Wide Web, the line between authentication and authorization is sometimes blurred. If custom authentication routines are required instead of those provided by the server, then these routines must be applied to every single page, since these pages could be requested directly.
Mitigation ID: MIT-4.5

Phase: Architecture and Design

Strategy: Libraries or Frameworks

Description:

  • Use a vetted library or framework that does not allow this weakness to occur or provides constructs that make this weakness easier to avoid.
  • For example, consider using libraries with authentication capabilities such as OpenSSL or the ESAPI Authenticator [REF-45].
Mitigation

Phases: Implementation, System Configuration, Operation

Description:

  • When storing data in the cloud (e.g., S3 buckets, Azure blobs, Google Cloud Storage, etc.), use the provider's controls to require strong authentication for users who should be allowed to access the data [REF-1297] [REF-1298] [REF-1302].
CAPEC-12: Choosing Message Identifier

This pattern of attack is defined by the selection of messages distributed via multicast or public information channels that are intended for another client by determining the parameter value assigned to that client. This attack allows the adversary to gain access to potentially privileged information, and to possibly perpetrate other attacks through the distribution means by impersonation. If the channel/message being manipulated is an input rather than output mechanism for the system, (such as a command bus), this style of attack could be used to change the adversary's identifier to more a privileged one.

CAPEC-166: Force the System to Reset Values

An attacker forces the target into a previous state in order to leverage potential weaknesses in the target dependent upon a prior configuration or state-dependent factors. Even in cases where an attacker may not be able to directly control the configuration of the targeted application, they may be able to reset the configuration to a prior state since many applications implement reset functions.

CAPEC-216: Communication Channel Manipulation

An adversary manipulates a setting or parameter on communications channel in order to compromise its security. This can result in information exposure, insertion/removal of information from the communications stream, and/or potentially system compromise.

CAPEC-36: Using Unpublished Interfaces or Functionality

An adversary searches for and invokes interfaces or functionality that the target system designers did not intend to be publicly available. If interfaces fail to authenticate requests, the attacker may be able to invoke functionality they are not authorized for.

CAPEC-62: Cross Site Request Forgery

An attacker crafts malicious web links and distributes them (via web pages, email, etc.), typically in a targeted manner, hoping to induce users to click on the link and execute the malicious action against some third-party application. If successful, the action embedded in the malicious link will be processed and accepted by the targeted application with the users' privilege level. This type of attack leverages the persistence and implicit trust placed in user session cookies by many web applications today. In such an architecture, once the user authenticates to an application and a session cookie is created on the user's system, all following transactions for that session are authenticated using that cookie including potential actions initiated by an attacker and simply "riding" the existing session cookie.
