Cisco Aironet Series Access Points Command Injection Vulnerability

Summary
A vulnerability in the CLI of Cisco Aironet Series Access Points (APs) could allow an authenticated, local attacker to gain access to the underlying Linux operating system (OS) without the proper authentication. The attacker would need valid administrator device credentials. The vulnerability is due to improper validation of user-supplied input for certain CLI commands. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by authenticating to an affected device and submitting crafted input for a CLI command. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to obtain access to the underlying Linux OS without proper authentication. There are no workarounds that address this vulnerability. Products Confirmed Not Vulnerable
Only products listed in the Vulnerable Products ["#vp"] section of this advisory are known to be affected by this vulnerability. Cisco has confirmed that this vulnerability does not affect the following Cisco products: Aironet 1520 Series APs Aironet 1530 Series APs Aironet 1550 Series APs Aironet 1570 Series APs Wireless Controllers Wireless LAN Controllers (WLCs) In addition, Cisco has confirmed that this vulnerability does not affect Cisco Aironet APs that are running Cisco Lightweight Access Point (LAP) Software or Cisco IOS Software.
Workarounds
There are no workarounds that address this vulnerability.
