Summary
Cisco Firepower Management Center Software Cross-Site Scripting Vulnerabilities

Notes

Summary
Multiple vulnerabilities in the web-based management interface of Cisco Firepower Management Center (FMC) Software could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to conduct a cross-site scripting (XSS) attack against a user of the interface. These vulnerabilities are due to insufficient validation of user-supplied input by the web-based management interface. An attacker could exploit these vulnerabilities by persuading a user of the interface to click a crafted link. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to execute arbitrary script code in the context of the interface or access sensitive, browser-based information. Cisco has released software updates to address these vulnerabilities. There are no workarounds that address these vulnerabilities.
Vulnerable Products
At the time of publication, these vulnerabilities affected the following Cisco FMC Software releases: 6.4.0.11 and earlier Earlier than 6.6.3 Earlier than 6.7.0.2 See the Details section in the bug ID(s) at the top of this advisory for the most complete and current information.
Products Confirmed Not Vulnerable
Only products listed in the Vulnerable Products ["#vp"] section of this advisory are known to be affected by these vulnerabilities. Cisco has confirmed that these vulnerabilities do not affect Cisco Adaptive Security Appliance (ASA) Software or Cisco Firepower Threat Defense (FTD) Software.
Workarounds
There are no workarounds that address these vulnerabilities.
Fixed Software
When considering software upgrades ["https://sec.cloudapps.cisco.com/security/center/resources/security_vulnerability_policy.html#fixes"], customers are advised to regularly consult the advisories for Cisco products, which are available from the Cisco Security Advisories page ["https://www.cisco.com/go/psirt"], to determine exposure and a complete upgrade solution. In all cases, customers should ensure that the devices to be upgraded contain sufficient memory and confirm that current hardware and software configurations will continue to be supported properly by the new release. If the information is not clear, customers are advised to contact the Cisco Technical Assistance Center (TAC) or their contracted maintenance providers. Fixed Releases At the time of publication, Cisco FMC Software releases 6.6.4 and 6.7.0.2 and later contained the fix for these vulnerabilities. Note: The First Fixed Release for the 6.6.0 code train was 6.6.3; however, due to upgrade issues associated with CSCvx86231 ["https://bst.cloudapps.cisco.com/bugsearch/bug/CSCvx86231"] the recommended release is 6.6.4. At the time of publication, Cisco expected to fix these vulnerabilities in Cisco FMC Software Release 6.4.0.12, scheduled for May 2021. See the Details section in the bug ID(s) at the top of this advisory for the most complete and current information.
Vulnerability Policy
To learn about Cisco security vulnerability disclosure policies and publications, see the Security Vulnerability Policy ["https://sec.cloudapps.cisco.com/security/center/resources/security_vulnerability_policy.html"]. This document also contains instructions for obtaining fixed software and receiving security vulnerability information from Cisco.
Exploitation and Public Announcements
The Cisco Product Security Incident Response Team (PSIRT) is not aware of any public announcements or malicious use of the vulnerabilities that are described in this advisory.
Source
These vulnerabilities were found by Sanmith Prakash of Cisco during internal security testing.
