Title
goshs SFTP authentication bypass via empty password (incomplete fix of CVE-2026-40884)
Summary
goshs is a feature-rich single-binary file server for red teamers and developers. From 2.1.3 until 2.1.4, the sftpserver/sftpserver.go password handler used Username != "" && Password != "", so running goshs with -b 'admin:' -sftp and no -fkf left both SFTP authentication handlers unset and allowed unauthenticated file access. This issue is fixed in version 2.1.4.

Title
clawvet < 0.7.5 Hard-coded JWT Secret Session Forgery
Summary
clawvet self-hosted API server (apps/api) before 0.7.5 hard-codes a fallback JWT secret ('clawvet-dev-secret-change-me') in auth.ts and ships it as the default in .env.example. Because GET /api/v1/scans returns scan records containing userId values without authentication, a remote unauthenticated attacker can harvest a victim's userId, forge a valid HS256 cg_session cookie offline using the known secret, and call GET /api/v1/auth/me to obtain the victim's email address, subscription plan, and secret apiKey. The published clawvet npm package (CLI only) is not affected.

In Eclipse Theia versions up to and including 1.73.1, the `@theia/filesystem` backend exposes HTTP file-download endpoints (`GET /file`, `GET /files/`, `PUT /files/`) that convert a client-supplied URI directly to a filesystem path and stream the file, without confining it to the workspace or any allow-listed root. In browser (non-Electron) deployments the connection token is enforced only on WebSocket upgrades; the HTTP middleware in `@theia/core` re-issues the cookie and calls `next()` without rejecting tokenless HTTP requests, so these endpoints are reachable without a valid token. As a result an unauthenticated client can read any file readable by the backend process, including files outside the opened workspace (for example `/etc/hosts`, SSH keys, or tokens). Electron mode uses a separate `ElectronSecurityToken` and is not affected via this path.

Title
Tycon Systems TPDIN-Monitor-WEB2 Missing Authentication for Critical Function
Summary
The Tycon Systems TPDIN-Monitor-WEB2 ships without HTTP credentials configured, intended for an installer to set them on first use. On firmware 2.4.4 and earlier, a unit left in this unconfigured state serves the web management interface without requiring any login. An attacker with network access to such a unit can reach full device controls, including power relay management, device reboot, remote access service configuration, and network settings, which could allow disruption of connected infrastructure or physical damage to equipment.

Title
LightRAG: Missing Authentication for Critical API Functions in Default Configuration
Summary
LightRAG provides simple and fast retrieval-augmented generation. Through version 1.5.4, the LightRAG API server binds to all network interfaces with authentication disabled by default, allowing an unauthenticated network attacker to read indexed document content, upload or delete documents, modify the knowledge graph, cancel pipelines, clear caches, and consume LLM resources. This issue is mitigated in version 1.5.5rc1.

CVE-2026-61742 (GCVE-0-2026-61742)

Title
DBHub HTTP transport DNS rebinding allows unauthenticated browser-origin SQL execution
Summary
DBHub is a database MCP server for Postgres, MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle, MariaDB, SQLite. Versions prior to 0.22.5 expose an unauthenticated HTTP MCP endpoint when started with the documented HTTP transport mode, for example `--transport http --port 8080`. The HTTP server attempts to protect browser-origin access by checking whether the `Origin` hostname equals the `Host` hostname, then reflecting the validated `Origin` into `Access-Control-Allow-Origin`. This does not stop DNS rebinding. After an attacker-controlled hostname rebinds to a victim-accessible DBHub HTTP server, both `Origin` and `Host` can contain the attacker-controlled hostname, so DBHub accepts the request and dispatches MCP tool calls. As a result, a malicious website can deterministically invoke DBHub MCP tools from the victim's browser without prompt injection or model involvement. With the default demo configuration this can read and write the demo SQLite database; with a real configured database, the same primitive can read, enumerate, and potentially write database contents depending on DBHub's configured tool permissions and database credentials. Version 0.22.5 fixes the issue.

Title
Cursor: Cloud Agent Browser Sandbox Escape
Summary
Cursor is a code editor built for programming with AI. Prior to the Cloud Agent fix on 03/31/2026, browser-enabled Cursor Cloud Agent sessions allowed attacker-controlled web content to connect from inside the agent container to an unauthenticated local agent endpoint, enabling code execution within the affected Cloud Agent sandbox or session and access to files, repository contents, environment variables, credentials, and GitHub App access tokens available to that session. This issue was fixed on 03/31/2026 by requiring authentication for the relevant agent endpoint.

Title
djust has an authorization bypass on the WebSocket/SSE mount path
Summary
djust provides Phoenix LiveView-style reactive server-side rendering for Django with Rust-powered performance. Prior to version 1.0.7, the live (WebSocket) transport authorizes a mount via `check_view_auth`, not Django's `View.dispatch()` chain. As a result, standard Django authorization — `LoginRequiredMixin`, `PermissionRequiredMixin`, `UserPassesTestMixin`, `@method_decorator(login_required, name="dispatch")`, and custom `dispatch()` guards — and the djust admin extension's staff gate (applied only in the HTTP `as_view` wrapper) were enforced on the initial HTTP GET but silently bypassed over WebSocket, where all events and state flow. An anonymous or under-privileged client could open a WebSocket and mount such a view — including admin list/create/change/delete — and dispatch its handlers. This is fixed in djust 1.0.7. `check_view_auth` now honors the Django `AccessMixin` family on every transport; a new system check S004 fails loud at startup on auth patterns the runtime cannot safely replay (decorator/overridden-`dispatch` forms); and the admin base mixin declares `login_required = True` + an active-staff `check_permissions` gate. As a workaround, gate views using djust's `login_required` / `permission_required` / `check_permissions` attributes (honored on all transports) rather than HTTP-only mixins/decorators.

Title
djust's observability endpoints are network-exposed: the localhost gate is an opt-in middleware the docs omit, and the views enforce only DEBUG
Summary
djust provides Phoenix LiveView-style reactive server-side rendering for Django with Rust-powered performance. Prior to version 1.0.7, djust's observability endpoints expose live view/session state and a remote method-invocation surface (`eval_handler`). The localhost restriction was an opt-in middleware that the documented setup omits; the views themselves enforced only `DEBUG`. In the misconfigured-but-documented scenario (DEBUG on, middleware not installed) a non-localhost client could read live application state and invoke handlers remotely. This issue is fixed in djust 1.0.7. The localhost restriction is enforced in-view on every observability endpoint (no longer dependent on a separately-installed middleware), and `eval_handler` is restricted; gated requests receive a non-disclosing response. As a workaround, ensure `DEBUG=False` in production, and do not expose the observability endpoints to untrusted networks.

Puwell IP Camera firmware versions 2.x through 4.x contains an authentication bypass vulnerability that allows unauthenticated attackers to access device functions by sending protocol-conforming packets over TCP port 23456 without credentials. Attackers can exploit the unvalidated Session field in the proprietary control protocol header to access live video streams, control pan and tilt motors, activate audio functions, and remotely restart the device.

Mitigation
Architecture and Design
  • Divide the software into anonymous, normal, privileged, and administrative areas. Identify which of these areas require a proven user identity, and use a centralized authentication capability.
  • Identify all potential communication channels, or other means of interaction with the software, to ensure that all channels are appropriately protected, including those channels that are assumed to be accessible only by authorized parties. Developers sometimes perform authentication at the primary channel, but open up a secondary channel that is assumed to be private. For example, a login mechanism may be listening on one network port, but after successful authentication, it may open up a second port where it waits for the connection, but avoids authentication because it assumes that only the authenticated party will connect to the port.
  • In general, if the software or protocol allows a single session or user state to persist across multiple connections or channels, authentication and appropriate credential management need to be used throughout.
Mitigation MIT-15
Architecture and Design

For any security checks that are performed on the client side, ensure that these checks are duplicated on the server side, in order to avoid CWE-602. Attackers can bypass the client-side checks by modifying values after the checks have been performed, or by changing the client to remove the client-side checks entirely. Then, these modified values would be submitted to the server.

Mitigation
Architecture and Design
  • Where possible, avoid implementing custom, "grow-your-own" authentication routines and consider using authentication capabilities as provided by the surrounding framework, operating system, or environment. These capabilities may avoid common weaknesses that are unique to authentication; support automatic auditing and tracking; and make it easier to provide a clear separation between authentication tasks and authorization tasks.
  • In environments such as the World Wide Web, the line between authentication and authorization is sometimes blurred. If custom authentication routines are required instead of those provided by the server, then these routines must be applied to every single page, since these pages could be requested directly.
Mitigation MIT-4.5
Architecture and Design

Strategy: Libraries or Frameworks

  • Use a vetted library or framework that does not allow this weakness to occur or provides constructs that make this weakness easier to avoid.
  • For example, consider using libraries with authentication capabilities such as OpenSSL or the ESAPI Authenticator [REF-45].
Mitigation
Implementation System Configuration Operation

When storing data in the cloud (e.g., S3 buckets, Azure blobs, Google Cloud Storage, etc.), use the provider's controls to require strong authentication for users who should be allowed to access the data [REF-1297] [REF-1298] [REF-1302].

CAPEC-12: Choosing Message Identifier

This pattern of attack is defined by the selection of messages distributed via multicast or public information channels that are intended for another client by determining the parameter value assigned to that client. This attack allows the adversary to gain access to potentially privileged information, and to possibly perpetrate other attacks through the distribution means by impersonation. If the channel/message being manipulated is an input rather than output mechanism for the system, (such as a command bus), this style of attack could be used to change the adversary's identifier to more a privileged one.

CAPEC-166: Force the System to Reset Values

An attacker forces the target into a previous state in order to leverage potential weaknesses in the target dependent upon a prior configuration or state-dependent factors. Even in cases where an attacker may not be able to directly control the configuration of the targeted application, they may be able to reset the configuration to a prior state since many applications implement reset functions.

CAPEC-216: Communication Channel Manipulation

An adversary manipulates a setting or parameter on communications channel in order to compromise its security. This can result in information exposure, insertion/removal of information from the communications stream, and/or potentially system compromise.

CAPEC-36: Using Unpublished Interfaces or Functionality

An adversary searches for and invokes interfaces or functionality that the target system designers did not intend to be publicly available. If interfaces fail to authenticate requests, the attacker may be able to invoke functionality they are not authorized for.

CAPEC-62: Cross Site Request Forgery

An attacker crafts malicious web links and distributes them (via web pages, email, etc.), typically in a targeted manner, hoping to induce users to click on the link and execute the malicious action against some third-party application. If successful, the action embedded in the malicious link will be processed and accepted by the targeted application with the users' privilege level. This type of attack leverages the persistence and implicit trust placed in user session cookies by many web applications today. In such an architecture, once the user authenticates to an application and a session cookie is created on the user's system, all following transactions for that session are authenticated using that cookie including potential actions initiated by an attacker and simply "riding" the existing session cookie.
