Title
Grav before 1.0.8 Missing Authorization on API Key Generation
Summary
The Grav api plugin (grav-plugin-api) before 1.0.8 fails to properly authorize API key generation and revocation: the plugin intercepts the apiKeyGenerate/apiKeyRevoke admin tasks before the account-management ACL runs and authorizes the caller on only the admin.login permission (the baseline permission held by every panel user). This allows any user with admin.login to mint a persistent API key bound to any account, and the forged key inherits the target account's API permissions. On installs where an API-enabled account holds broader permissions, this enables account impersonation and privilege escalation up to account takeover.

Title
Network-AI 5.12.2 through 5.13.3 Missing Authorization via ApprovalInbox
Summary
Network-AI (npm: network-ai) versions 5.12.2 through 5.13.3 fail to apply the configured authorization check (checkAuth/secret) to the ApprovalInbox GET read routes, so even when an operator configures a secret, unauthenticated actors can access sensitive approval request details. The GET /approvals/?status=all, GET /approvals/:id, GET /approvals/stats, and GET /approvals/sse routes disclose full ApprovalEntry content including action/target shell-command strings, file paths, justifications, and risk levels. All responses also carry a hardcoded Access-Control-Allow-Origin: * header, enabling cross-origin disclosure from any website the operator visits. This is an incomplete fix for GHSA-mxjx-28vx-xjjj.

Title
SurrealDB before 3.1.0 Authorization Bypass via KILL Statement
Summary
SurrealDB versions before 3.1.0 contain an authorization bypass vulnerability in the KILL statement that allows authenticated database users to terminate other users' LIVE SELECT subscriptions. Attackers can issue KILL statements with target live query UUIDs to disrupt real-time data subscriptions of other users without ownership verification.

Title
SurrealDB before 3.1.0 Authentication Bypass via USE statement
Summary
SurrealDB versions before 3.1.0 fail to validate DEFINE NAMESPACE or DEFINE DATABASE permissions when processing USE NS and USE DB statements. Unauthenticated attackers can create arbitrary namespaces and databases by issuing USE commands, bypassing authorization checks in the RPC use method and SurrealQL executor.

Title
Maybe 0.6.0 Missing Authorization via HostingsController show/update
Summary
Maybe through 0.6.0 contains a missing authorization vulnerability that allows authenticated low-privilege member-role users to access and modify global hosting settings by exploiting unprotected show and update actions in the Settings::HostingsController, where the before_action ensure_admin filter is applied only to the clear_cache action. Attackers can read the operator's Synth API key rendered in plaintext via a form field value attribute, overwrite it with an attacker-controlled value, toggle public registration settings, and disable email confirmation requirements to disrupt the entire instance.

Title
Perfect Support Ticketing System 1.7 Broken Access Control via Agent Assignment
Summary
Perfect Support Ticketing & Document Management System through 1.7 contains a broken access control vulnerability that allows authenticated attackers with Agent-level privileges to manipulate the Support Agent assignment field of tickets by bypassing intended authorization checks. Attackers can add or remove any user, including Superadmin accounts, from the Support Agent field of any ticket to which they are assigned, circumventing role-based access controls.

Title
TDengine: KILL SSMIGRATE missing authorization lets low-privilege users interrupt shared-storage migrations
Summary
TDengine is a time-series database optimized for Internet of Things devices. Prior to 3.4.1.15, TDengine Enterprise allowed an authenticated low-privilege SQL user to run KILL SSMIGRATE <id> against an active shared-storage migration because mndProcessKillSsMigrateReq called mndKillSsMigrate while the intended MND_OPER_SSMIGRATE_DB privilege check was commented out. This issue is fixed in version 3.4.1.15.

Title
9Router 0.4.41 - Unauthenticated Information Disclosure via API Usage Endpoints
Summary
9Router through version 0.4.41 contain an unauthenticated information disclosure vulnerability that allows remote attackers to access sensitive user data by sending requests to unprotected API endpoints. Attackers can enumerate paginated request logs and retrieve complete AI conversation histories including system prompts, user messages, assistant responses, tool calls, and user email addresses by querying the request-logs and request-details API routes which lack authentication middleware.

Title
Grav Flex-Objects < 1.4.3 Authorization Bypass via API
Summary
Grav Flex-Objects before version 1.4.3 contains a broken access control vulnerability in the admin-next REST API that allows authenticated users with only api.access permission to perform unauthorized CRUD operations on permission-less directories. Attackers with api.access credentials can create, read, update, delete, and export objects from any directory lacking an explicit permissions configuration, bypassing intended authorization controls.

Title
grav-plugin-api < 1.0.6 Privilege Escalation via createApiKey
Summary
grav-plugin-api before 1.0.6 fails to validate super-admin status in createApiKey, generate2fa, and disable2fa endpoints, allowing non-super api.users.write managers to escalate to super-admin. Attackers can mint API keys bound to super-admin accounts or strip 2FA from super-admin users to achieve full instance takeover.

Mitigation
Architecture and Design
  • Divide the product into anonymous, normal, privileged, and administrative areas. Reduce the attack surface by carefully mapping roles with data and functionality. Use role-based access control (RBAC) [REF-229] to enforce the roles at the appropriate boundaries.
  • Note that this approach may not protect against horizontal authorization, i.e., it will not protect a user from attacking others with the same role.
Mitigation
Architecture and Design

Ensure that access control checks are performed related to the business logic. These checks may be different than the access control checks that are applied to more generic resources such as files, connections, processes, memory, and database records. For example, a database may restrict access for medical records to a specific database user, but each record might only be intended to be accessible to the patient and the patient's doctor [REF-7].

Mitigation MIT-4.4
Architecture and Design

Strategy: Libraries or Frameworks

  • Use a vetted library or framework that does not allow this weakness to occur or provides constructs that make this weakness easier to avoid.
  • For example, consider using authorization frameworks such as the JAAS Authorization Framework [REF-233] and the OWASP ESAPI Access Control feature [REF-45].
Mitigation
Architecture and Design
  • For web applications, make sure that the access control mechanism is enforced correctly at the server side on every page. Users should not be able to access any unauthorized functionality or information by simply requesting direct access to that page.
  • One way to do this is to ensure that all pages containing sensitive information are not cached, and that all such pages restrict access to requests that are accompanied by an active and authenticated session token associated with a user who has the required permissions to access that page.
Mitigation
System Configuration Installation

Use the access control capabilities of your operating system and server environment and define your access control lists accordingly. Use a "default deny" policy when defining these ACLs.

CAPEC-665: Exploitation of Thunderbolt Protection Flaws

An adversary leverages a firmware weakness within the Thunderbolt protocol, on a computing device to manipulate Thunderbolt controller firmware in order to exploit vulnerabilities in the implementation of authorization and verification schemes within Thunderbolt protection mechanisms. Upon gaining physical access to a target device, the adversary conducts high-level firmware manipulation of the victim Thunderbolt controller SPI (Serial Peripheral Interface) flash, through the use of a SPI Programing device and an external Thunderbolt device, typically as the target device is booting up. If successful, this allows the adversary to modify memory, subvert authentication mechanisms, spoof identities and content, and extract data and memory from the target device. Currently 7 major vulnerabilities exist within Thunderbolt protocol with 9 attack vectors as noted in the Execution Flow.
