Title
n8n: Cross-User Active Workflow ID and Lifecycle Event Disclosure via Missing userId Filter
Summary
n8n is an open source workflow automation platform. Prior to 1.123.76, 2.37.7, and 2.38.2, the /rest/active-workflows endpoint returned every active workflow ID on the instance to any member regardless of sharing. Workflow activation, deactivation, and publication push events were also broadcast to clients that could not access the affected workflow, disclosing workflow IDs, version IDs, and activation error details. The affected paths include packages/cli/src/services/active-workflows.service.ts and packages/cli/src/workflows/workflow-push-notifier.service.ts. This issue is fixed in versions 1.123.76, 2.37.7 and 2.38.2.

Title
n8n: Log Streaming Event Destinations Decrypt Generic-Auth Credentials Without Ownership Check
Summary
n8n is an open source workflow automation platform. Prior to 1.123.76, 2.37.7, and 2.38.2, a Log Streaming event destination could reference a generic HTTP credential and decrypt whichever credential ID it named without an ownership check. A user with a custom global role carrying Log Streaming scopes could select a credential belonging to another project and send its decrypted secret to an attacker-controlled endpoint. The affected authorization boundary is packages/cli/src/modules/log-streaming.ee/destinations/destination-credentials-access.ts and the credential:read scope. This issue is fixed in versions 1.123.76, 2.37.7 and 2.38.2.

Title
Waves Central local privilege escalation via Improper XPC Client Authentication in macOS
Summary
Waves Central for macOS contains a local privilege escalation in the privileged helper service. The helper authorizes connecting XPC clients by comparing the caller's code-signing certificate chain for equality with its own, rather than validating the caller against a pinned code requirement (application identifier and Team ID). A local, authenticated user can execute code within the vendor-signed process, satisfy the helper's client check, and cause the helper to execute a script with root privileges. Fixed in 17.0.

Title
snipe-it before 8.7.0 Missing Authorization via barcode endpoint
Summary
snipe-it versions before 8.7.0 fail to enforce asset view authorization in the GET /hardware/{asset}/barcode endpoint. Authenticated attackers can iterate asset IDs to retrieve barcodes and enumerate asset tags across tenants, including soft-deleted and cross-company assets.

Title
Craft CMS 5.0.0-RC1 before 5.10.12 Permission Escalation via UsersController
Summary
Craft CMS versions 5.0.0-RC1 through 5.10.11 are missing an admin-target guard in UsersController::actionActivateUser (the users/activate-user action). While the action requires the administrateUsers permission, it does not call requireAdmin() when the targeted user is an administrator, unlike the mirror action actionDeactivateUser. As a result, an authenticated control panel user who is not an administrator but holds the administrateUsers permission can activate a pending or deliberately deactivated administrator account, which can lead to permission escalation when combined with resetting that account's password. The issue is fixed in Craft CMS 5.10.12.

CVE-2026-86451 (GCVE-0-2026-86451)

Title
MISP Event Graph Object Reference Lookup Exposes References from Unauthorized Objects
Summary
Affected versions of MISP allow authenticated users to retrieve object-reference records by UUID through EventGraphTool::get_reference_data() without first checking whether the requester is authorized to view the object the reference belongs to. The vulnerable code queried ObjectReference.uuid directly and returned the matching row whenever it existed. Because no parent-object ACL was applied, a user who knew or obtained a reference UUID could retrieve information associated with an object outside their normal access scope. The commit explicitly states that any object reference could be returned by UUID without authorizing its parent object. The fix retrieves the referenced object's object_id and calls fetchObjectSimple() with the current user. If the user cannot access that parent object, MISP now returns NotFoundException instead of exposing the reference. Version affected: ≤2.5.45

Title
MISP Dashboard Organisation Widgets Bypass Organisation-Index Restrictions and Expose Hidden Organisation Data
Summary
Affected versions of MISP contain inconsistent authorization checks across dashboard widgets that display organisation information. Several organisation-related widgets did not honor Security.hide_organisation_index_from_users. As a result, authenticated users without the perm_sharing_group permission could enumerate organisations even though the normal organisation index was intentionally hidden from them. The affected widgets included paths that: * returned organisation names and identifiers; * could expose additional organisation database fields through JSON export because unrestricted find('all') queries fetched full rows; * accepted limit=0 or negative values in a way that could effectively remove the result limit and return the entire organisation table. A related organisation-contributor leaderboard also ignored the same visibility setting. Its handler counted Event.orgc_id across the entire event table and mapped those IDs to organisation names, revealing every organisation with events regardless of whether the caller could see any of those events. The fix withdraws this widget entirely for users who lack organisation-index visibility. Version affected: ≤2.5.45

Mitigation
Architecture and Design
  • Divide the product into anonymous, normal, privileged, and administrative areas. Reduce the attack surface by carefully mapping roles with data and functionality. Use role-based access control (RBAC) [REF-229] to enforce the roles at the appropriate boundaries.
  • Note that this approach may not protect against horizontal authorization, i.e., it will not protect a user from attacking others with the same role.
Mitigation
Architecture and Design

Ensure that access control checks are performed related to the business logic. These checks may be different than the access control checks that are applied to more generic resources such as files, connections, processes, memory, and database records. For example, a database may restrict access for medical records to a specific database user, but each record might only be intended to be accessible to the patient and the patient's doctor [REF-7].

Mitigation MIT-4.4
Architecture and Design

Strategy: Libraries or Frameworks

  • Use a vetted library or framework that does not allow this weakness to occur or provides constructs that make this weakness easier to avoid.
  • For example, consider using authorization frameworks such as the JAAS Authorization Framework [REF-233] and the OWASP ESAPI Access Control feature [REF-45].
Mitigation
Architecture and Design
  • For web applications, make sure that the access control mechanism is enforced correctly at the server side on every page. Users should not be able to access any unauthorized functionality or information by simply requesting direct access to that page.
  • One way to do this is to ensure that all pages containing sensitive information are not cached, and that all such pages restrict access to requests that are accompanied by an active and authenticated session token associated with a user who has the required permissions to access that page.
Mitigation
System Configuration Installation

Use the access control capabilities of your operating system and server environment and define your access control lists accordingly. Use a "default deny" policy when defining these ACLs.

CAPEC-665: Exploitation of Thunderbolt Protection Flaws

An adversary leverages a firmware weakness within the Thunderbolt protocol, on a computing device to manipulate Thunderbolt controller firmware in order to exploit vulnerabilities in the implementation of authorization and verification schemes within Thunderbolt protection mechanisms. Upon gaining physical access to a target device, the adversary conducts high-level firmware manipulation of the victim Thunderbolt controller SPI (Serial Peripheral Interface) flash, through the use of a SPI Programing device and an external Thunderbolt device, typically as the target device is booting up. If successful, this allows the adversary to modify memory, subvert authentication mechanisms, spoof identities and content, and extract data and memory from the target device. Currently 7 major vulnerabilities exist within Thunderbolt protocol with 9 attack vectors as noted in the Execution Flow.
