Title
Vikunja 2.2.0 before 2.7.0 Permissive CORS Policy Trusting Localhost Origins
Summary
Vikunja from 2.2.0 before 2.7.0 contains a permissive CORS configuration that trusts every localhost and 127.0.0.1 port with credentials, even when service.publicurl is set. Attackers controlling a page on any localhost port can send a credentialed request to the token refresh endpoint and read the returned bearer JWT to take over the logged-in user's account.

Title
LoopX serve-status permissive CORS policy exposes control-plane state and private Markdown files
Summary
Open and provider-neutral, LoopX is a lightweight state kernel and local-first control plane for loop engineering. From version 0.0.1 until 0.4.5, `loopx serve-status` in `loopx/status_server.py` uses `StatusRequestHandler._send_json()` and `do_OPTIONS()` to send `Access-Control-Allow-Origin: *` for unauthenticated responses on predictable loopback ports. A remote attacker can cause an operator who visits attacker-controlled web content to issue cross-origin requests to `GET /status.json`, `GET /review-material?goal_id=...&path=...`, `GET /`, and `POST /control-plane/configure-goal/dry-run`, exposing control-plane state, goal and run information, local absolute paths, private Markdown files below registered goal roots, and dry-run configuration projections. The affected routes do not provide cross-origin writes or arbitrary-file access. This issue is fixed in version 0.4.5.

Title
Cross-Site WebSocket Hijacking and Permissive CORS in Google Agent Development Kit (ADK) for Java Development Server
Summary
Missing Origin Validation in WebSockets (CWE-1385) and Permissive Cross-domain Policy with Untrusted Domains (CWE-942) in the development web server (ADK Web) in Google Agent Development Kit (ADK) for Java (com.google.adk:google-adk-dev versions 0.1.0 before 1.13.0 and com.google.adk:google-adk-maven-plugin versions 0.3.0 before 1.13.0) allow a remote attacker to control a locally running agent and read its data via a malicious web page visited by a developer while the server is running. The /run_live WebSocket endpoint accepts connections from any origin by default (hardcoded via setAllowedOrigins("*") in versions 0.1.0 through 1.5.0, and defaulting to * via adk.web.cors.origins in versions 1.6.0 through 1.12.0), and since version 0.4.0 the REST API returns Access-Control-Allow-Origin: * by default. Because the server has no authentication and requests originate from the developer's browser (so binding to localhost does not prevent exploitation), a cross-origin page can send messages to the agent (triggering registered tools), stream agent responses, and list, read, create, or delete sessions and artifacts. In versions 1.6.0 through 1.12.0, users can mitigate the issue by setting the adk.web.cors.origins property to an explicit allowlist of trusted origins (such as http://localhost:8000). The vulnerability is fixed in version 1.13.0, which enforces a same-origin default for CORS and the /run_live WebSocket endpoint, and rejects DNS-rebinding requests over loopback.

The affected element is the function create_strands_app of the file integrations/aws-strands/python/src/ag_ui_strands/utils.py of the component CORSMiddleware. The manipulation results in permissive cross-domain policy with untrusted domains. The attack may be launched remotely. The attack requires a high level of complexity. The exploitability is described as difficult. Upgrading to version AGUI.Abstractions@0.0.6 is sufficient to fix this issue. The patch is identified as 9b143b9668fa52c2054ede9d34a45ac4b4401089. It is suggested to upgrade the affected component."

CVE-2026-90882 (GCVE-0-2026-90882)

Title
Reflected arbitrary origins with credentials, allowing cross-origin reads of authenticated user data
Summary
The open-vsx.org deployment returned Access-Control-Allow-Origin reflecting the requesting origin together with Access-Control-Allow-Credentials: true on the authenticated /user/ endpoints. A page on any origin could therefore issue credentialed requests to the service in a logged-in user's browser and read the responses. This exposed /user (login name, avatar, homepage, tokens URL), /user/tokens, /user/namespaces, /user/extensions, /user/search/{name} and /user/namespace/{name}/members, and — because /user/csrf was readable the same way — allowed the CSRF protection on write endpoints to be defeated. Chaining the two, an attacker page could call /user/token/create and exfiltrate a personal access token carrying publish and delete rights over the victim's namespaces. The headers were emitted by the CDN/edge layer, not by the application: the Open VSX software sets allowCredentials(true) in exactly one place, against a single exact origin derived from ovsx.webui.url, and defines no CORS mapping on /user/ beyond it. No configuration of the software produces origin reflection with credentials.

Title
Apache Camel: Camel-Jetty Cross-Origin Credential Exposure via Allow-All CrossOriginFilter Defaults When enableCORS Is Set
Summary
Permissive Cross-domain Policy with Untrusted Domains vulnerability in Apache Camel Jetty component. This issue affects Apache Camel: from 4.0.0 before 4.18.5, from 4.19.0 before 4.22.1. Setting enableCORS on a Jetty endpoint installed Jetty's CrossOriginFilter with its stock defaults, which accept every origin and allow credentials. An operator asking for CORS therefore obtained a policy that lets a page on any origin make credentialed cross-origin requests to the endpoint and read the responses, without any indication that turning the option on had chosen an allow-all policy rather than an empty one to be filled in. This is the same defect class as the platform-http-vertx advisory published alongside it, in a different component. Upgrade to Apache Camel 4.23.0, which fixes the issue. Users on the 4.18.x LTS releases stream should upgrade to 4.18.5. Users on the 4.22.x LTS releases stream should upgrade to 4.22.1. enableCORS no longer grants credentials to an origin the operator did not name. A deployment that relied on any origin being accepted must now list its origins explicitly. For deployments that cannot upgrade immediately, configure the CrossOriginFilter parameters explicitly rather than relying on what enableCORS installs, naming the allowed origins.

Title
Windows ML CLI: CORS misconfig enables localhost RCE
Summary
Windows ML CLI is a command line tool for building portable, performant, and high-quality AI models for Windows ML. Prior to 0.4.0, the src/winml/modelkit/serve/cli_api.py component exposes WinML CLI commands through a localhost HTTP API without authentication and configures the allow_origins setting as a wildcard in both src/winml/modelkit/serve/cli_api.py and src/winml/modelkit/serve/app.py. A malicious website loaded by a user can send cross-origin requests to /v1/cli/build or /v1/cli/config and set the trust_remote_code parameter to true, which is converted to the --trust-remote-code command-line flag without validation. This reaches AutoConfig.from_pretrained with trust_remote_code=True in src/winml/modelkit/loader/_autoconfig.py and imports Python code from an attacker-controlled model repository, resulting in arbitrary code execution as the server user. This issue is fixed in version 0.4.0.

Title
Apache Camel: Camel-Platform-HTTP-Vertx Cross-Origin Credential Exposure via Wildcard Origin Reflection
Summary
Permissive Cross-domain Policy with Untrusted Domains vulnerability in Apache Camel Platform HTTP Vertx component. This issue affects Apache Camel: from 4.0.0 before 4.18.5, from 4.19.0 before 4.22.1. createCorsHandler() set Access-Control-Allow-Credentials: true outside the origin check, so the header went out on every response to a request carrying an Origin header, including responses to origins the handler had just decided not to allow. When camel.server.cors.origins is unset, the handler treats every origin as allowed and echoes the caller's own Origin back as Access-Control-Allow-Origin. Together those produce the credentialed any-origin configuration that the fetch specification refuses to express as a literal wildcard, which is precisely why reflecting the origin is the usual way around that rule. A page on any origin could therefore make credentialed cross-origin requests to the Camel endpoint and read the responses. Upgrade to Apache Camel 4.23.0, which fixes the issue. Users on the 4.18.x LTS releases stream should upgrade to 4.18.5. Users on the 4.22.x LTS releases stream should upgrade to 4.22.1. Access-Control-Allow-Credentials is now sent only when the request origin matched an origin the operator actually configured. With no origin list the origin is still reflected, as before, but credentials are not granted, and Vary: Origin is now set whenever the origin is reflected so that a shared cache cannot serve one origin's response to another. For deployments that cannot upgrade immediately, set camel.server.cors.origins to the explicit list of origins that need access rather than leaving it unset.

Title
Apache Storm Webapp: Authenticated API Responses Exposed to Arbitrary Web Origins
Summary
Description Three separate mechanisms allowed a web page on an unrelated origin to read responses that Storm's HTTP components served to an authenticated user. The Logviewer reflected the request's `Origin` header back in `Access-Control-Allow-Origin` while also sending `Access-Control-Allow-Credentials: true`. The published security model documents a permissive `Access-Control-Allow-Origin: *` posture as accepted, which is safe precisely because browsers refuse to honour `*` together with credentials; reflecting the concrete origin removes that protection. The shared CORS filter used by the UI, the Logviewer and DRPC was configured with a response header name where an initialisation parameter name was expected. The container ignored the setting and applied its own defaults, which allow credentials. Finally, the UI and Logviewer wrapped API responses in a caller-supplied JSONP callback for every GET request. A script element on any origin can load such a response, which bypasses the same-origin policy entirely rather than negotiating it, and there was no way to turn the behaviour off. In each case the effect is that a page visited by an authenticated operator can read cluster, topology and log data on their behalf. Mitigation Upgrade to 3.1.0, where the Logviewer no longer reflects the request origin in a credentialed response, the CORS filter is configured explicitly, and JSONP wrapping is governed by `ui.enable.jsonp`, which defaults to false. Note that disabling JSONP is a behaviour change for tooling that passes a `callback` query parameter; such tooling should be moved to ordinary JSON requests. Users who cannot upgrade immediately should place the UI, Logviewer and DRPC HTTP endpoints behind a reverse proxy that strips `Access-Control-Allow-Origin` and `Access-Control-Allow-Credentials` from responses and rejects requests carrying a `callback` parameter. Mitigation
Architecture and Design Operation

Strategy: Attack Surface Reduction

Define a restrictive Content Security Policy [REF-1486] or cross-domain policy file.

Mitigation
Architecture and Design Operation

Strategy: Attack Surface Reduction

Avoid using wildcards in the CSP / cross-domain policy file. Any domain matching the wildcard expression will be implicitly trusted, and can perform two-way interaction with the target server.

Mitigation
Architecture and Design Operation

Strategy: Environment Hardening

For Flash, modify crossdomain.xml to use meta-policy options such as 'master-only' or 'none' to reduce the possibility of an attacker planting extraneous cross-domain policy files on a server.

No CAPEC attack patterns related to this CWE.
