    Title
MobSF: SSRF port restriction bypass in assetlinks_check
    Summary
MobSF is a mobile application security testing tool used. Prior to 4.5.1, get_browsable_activities in mobsf/StaticAnalyzer/views/android/manifest_analysis.py validates only an Android manifest android:host value with valid_host before appending a separately supplied android:port to the URL fetched by _check_url, allowing an authenticated user to upload a crafted APK that makes requests to an attacker-selected nonstandard port at /.well-known/assetlinks.json. With an attacker-controlled hostname and DNS rebinding between validation and the requests.get connection, the request can reach an internal service, although redirects remain disabled and the path is fixed. This issue is fixed in version 4.5.1.

    Title
MobSF: Zip Bomb Denial of Service via Per-File Size Limit Bypass in ZIP/APK Extraction
    Summary
MobSF is a mobile application security testing tool used. Prior to 4.5.1, the unzip function in mobsf/StaticAnalyzer/views/common/shared_func.py logs that an archive member exceeding ZIP_MAX_UNCOMPRESSED_FILE_SIZE is being skipped but does not continue to the next member, so an authenticated user can upload a crafted ZIP or APK whose oversized member is extracted to disk when the aggregate ZIP_MAX_UNCOMPRESSED_TOTAL_SIZE limit has not yet been reached, potentially exhausting disk space and preventing further scans. This issue is fixed in version 4.5.1.

MobSF is a mobile application security testing tool used. Prior to 4.5.1, mobsf/MobSF/settings.py places django.middleware.csrf.CsrfViewMiddleware only in the deprecated MIDDLEWARE_CLASSES setting and omits it from the active MIDDLEWARE tuple, allowing a remote attacker to make a logged-in victim submit cross-site POST requests to authenticated web endpoints including /delete_scan/, /upload/, /download_scan/, /change_password/, /create_user/, and /delete_user/. This can delete scans, upload or download applications, change passwords, or manage users with the victim account permissions. This issue is fixed in version 4.5.1.

    Title
MobSF: Arbitrary File Read via Path Traversal in ZIP Uploads
    Summary
MobSF is a mobile application security testing tool used. Prior to 4.5.1, find_icon_path_zip in mobsf/StaticAnalyzer/views/android/icon_analysis.py uses the Android manifest android:icon value to construct paths under the scan resource directory without rejecting traversal or verifying containment, allowing an authenticated user to upload a crafted ZIP or APK that reads a server file with an ALLOWED_EXTENSIONS suffix, copies it to DWD_DIR as the predictable name -icon., and retrieves it through the /download/ endpoint. The same behavior provides a file-existence oracle through the icon_path report field. This issue is fixed in version 4.5.1.

    Title
MobSF has SQL Injection in its SQLite Database Viewer Utils
    Summary
MobSF is a mobile application security testing tool used. Prior to version 4.4.6, MobSF's `read_sqlite()` function in `mobsf/MobSF/utils.py` (lines 542-566) uses Python string formatting (`%`) to construct SQL queries with table names read from a SQLite database's `sqlite_master` table. When a security analyst uses MobSF to analyze a malicious mobile application containing a crafted SQLite database, attacker-controlled table names are interpolated directly into SQL queries without parameterization or escaping. This allows an attacker to cause denial of service and achieve SQL injection. Version 4.4.6 patches the issue.

    VLAI
    Title
MobSF has Stored XSS via Manifest Analysis - Dialer Code Host Field
    Summary
MobSF is a mobile application security testing tool used. Prior to version 4.4.5, a Stored Cross-site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability in MobSF's Android manifest analysis allows an attacker to execute arbitrary JavaScript in the context of a victim's browser session by uploading a malicious APK. The `android:host` attribute from `<data android:scheme="android_secret_code">` elements is rendered in HTML reports without sanitization, enabling session hijacking and account takeover. Version 4.4.5 fixes the issue.

    Title
MobSF Path Traversal in GET /download/<filename> using absolute filenames
    Summary
MobSF is a mobile application security testing tool used. In version 4.4.0, the GET /download/ route uses string path verification via os.path.commonprefix, which allows an authenticated user to download files outside the DWD_DIR download directory from "neighboring" directories whose absolute paths begin with the same prefix as DWD_DIR (e.g., .../downloads_bak, .../downloads.old). This is a Directory Traversal (escape) leading to a data leak. This issue has been patched in version 4.4.1.

    Title
Mobile Security Framework (MobSF) Allows Web Server Resource Exhaustion via ZIP of Death Attack
    Summary
MobSF is a mobile application security testing tool used. Typically, MobSF is deployed on centralized internal or cloud-based servers that also host other security tools and web applications. Access to the MobSF web interface is often granted to internal security teams, audit teams, and external vendors. MobSF provides a feature that allows users to upload ZIP files for static analysis. Upon upload, these ZIP files are automatically extracted and stored within the MobSF directory. However, in versions up to and including 4.3.2, this functionality lacks a check on the total uncompressed size of the ZIP file, making it vulnerable to a ZIP of Death (zip bomb) attack. Due to the absence of safeguards against oversized extractions, an attacker can craft a specially prepared ZIP file that is small in compressed form but expands to a massive size upon extraction. Exploiting this, an attacker can exhaust the server's disk space, leading to a complete denial of service (DoS) not just for MobSF, but also for any other applications or websites hosted on the same server. This vulnerability can lead to complete server disruption in an organization which can affect other internal portals and tools too (which are hosted on the same server). If some organization has created their customized cloud based mobile security tool using MobSF core then an attacker can exploit this vulnerability to crash their servers. Commit 6987a946485a795f4fd38cebdb4860b368a1995d fixes this issue. As an additional mitigation, it is recommended to implement a safeguard that checks the total uncompressed size of any uploaded ZIP file before extraction. If the estimated uncompressed size exceeds a safe threshold (e.g., 100 MB), MobSF should reject the file and notify the user.

    CVE-2025-24804 (GCVE-0-2025-24804)

    Vulnerability from nvd – Published: 2025-02-05 18:41 – Updated: 2025-02-12 19:41
    VLAI
    Title
Partial Denial of Service (DoS) in MobSF
    Summary
Mobile Security Framework (MobSF) is an automated, all-in-one mobile application (Android/iOS/Windows) pen-testing, malware analysis and security assessment framework. According to Apple's documentation for bundle ID's, it must contain only alphanumeric characters (A–Z, a–z, and 0–9), hyphens (-), and periods (.). However, an attacker can manually modify this value in the `Info.plist` file and add special characters to the `<key>CFBundleIdentifier</key>` value. When the application parses the wrong characters in the bundle ID, it encounters an error. As a result, it will not display content and will throw a 500 error instead. The only way to make the pages work again is to manually remove the malicious application from the system. This issue has been addressed in version 4.3.1 and all users are advised to upgrade. There are no known workarounds for this vulnerability.

    Title
Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) in MobSF
The `dynamic_analysis.html` file does not sanitize the received bundle value from Corellium and as a result, it is possible to break the HTML context and achieve Stored XSS. This issue has been addressed in version 4.3.1 and all users are advised to upgrade. There are no known workarounds for this vulnerability.

    Title
Mobile Security Framework (MobSF) bypass of SSRF fix
    Summary
Mobile Security Framework (MobSF) is a pen-testing, malware analysis and security assessment framework capable of performing static and dynamic analysis. In versions prior to 3.9.7, the requests.get() request in the _check_url method is specified as allow_redirects=True, which allows a server-side request forgery when a request to .well-known/assetlinks.json" returns a 302 redirect. This is a bypass of the fix for CVE-2024-29190 and is fixed in 3.9.7.

    Title
MobSF: CSRF checks not enforced after Django migration
    Summary

Prior to version 4.4.6, MobSF\u0027s `read_sqlite()` function in `mobsf/MobSF/utils.py` (lines 542-566) uses Python string formatting (`%`) to construct SQL queries with table names read from a SQLite database\u0027s `sqlite_master` table. When a security analyst uses MobSF to analyze a malicious mobile application containing a crafted SQLite database, attacker-controlled table names are interpolated directly into SQL queries without parameterization or escaping. This allows an attacker to cause denial of service and achieve SQL injection. Version 4.4.6 patches the issue."

    Vulnerability from cvelistv5 – Published: 2025-02-05 18:41 – Updated: 2025-02-12 19:41

    Title
Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) in MobSF

    CVE-2025-24804 (GCVE-0-2025-24804)

    Vulnerability from cvelistv5 – Published: 2025-02-05 18:41 – Updated: 2025-02-12 19:41
    VLAI
