Een onbevoegde aanvaller met netwerktoegang kan via verschillende aanvalsvectoren ongeautoriseerde toegang verkrijgen tot bepaalde of alle beschikbare data, waarbij sommige kwetsbaarheden leiden tot volledige compromittering van het systeem inclusief privilege-escalatie en uitvoering van ongeautoriseerde acties.
