Title
FOSSBilling missing authorization in guest Invoice API endpoints
Summary
FOSSBilling is a free, open-source billing and client management system. Prior to version 0.8.0, the Guest API invoice/update endpoint is missing an authorization check present in other invoice-related endpoints, allowing an unauthenticated user with knowledge of an invoice hash to modify the payment gateway associated with an unpaid invoice. An attacker who obtains an invoice hash, which may leak through shared URLs, referrer headers, or email links, can change the `gateway_id` on an unpaid invoice to any payment gateway configured in the system. This does not allow redirecting payments to an arbitrary external endpoint, as the gateway must already be installed and configured by an administrator. The practical impact is further limited by the `invoice_accessible_from_hash` system setting. Version 0.8.0 contains a patch. No known workarounds are available.

Title
pyload-ng: non-admin SETTINGS users can disable outbound TLS peer verification
Summary
pyLoad is a free and open-source download manager written in Python. Prior to 0.5.0b3.dev100, the set_config_value() API method (@permission(Perms.SETTINGS)) in src/pyload/core/api/__init__.py gates security-sensitive options behind a hand-maintained allowlist ADMIN_ONLY_CORE_OPTIONS. The option ("general", "ssl_verify") is not on that allowlist. Any authenticated user with the non-admin SETTINGS permission can set general.ssl_verify = off, and every subsequent outbound pycurl request is made with SSL_VERIFYPEER=0 and SSL_VERIFYHOST=0 — TLS peer and hostname verification are fully disabled. An on-path attacker can then present forged certificates for any hostname pyload fetches. This is a direct continuation of the fix family CVE-2026-33509 / CVE-2026-35463 / CVE-2026-35464 / CVE-2026-35586, each of which patched a different missed option in the same allowlist. This vulnerability is fixed in 0.5.0b3.dev100.

Title
Fides: Privacy Request Identity Verification Bypass Vulnerability via Duplicate Detection
Summary
Fides is an open-source privacy engineering platform. From 2.75.0 to before 2.83.2, Fides deployments that enable both subject identity verification and duplicate privacy request detection are affected by a vulnerability in which an administrator can approve a privacy request whose identity was never verified. For erasure policies, this can result in unauthorized deletion of a data subject's records across every integration configured in the affected deployment. This vulnerability is fixed in 2.83.2.

Title
FastGPT: Unauthenticated Remote Code Execution (RCE) via code-server Misconfiguration in agent-sandbox
Summary
FastGPT is an AI Agent building platform. From version 4.14.10 to before version 4.14.13, the agent-sandbox component of FastGPT is vulnerable to unauthenticated Remote Code Execution (RCE). The startup script entrypoint.sh initializes code-server with the --auth none flag and binds the service to all network interfaces (0.0.0.0:8080). This configuration allows any user with network access to the port to bypass authentication and gain full control over the sandbox environment. This issue has been patched in version 4.14.13.

Title
ChurchCRM: Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) Leading to Admin Privilege Escalation
Summary
ChurchCRM is an open-source church management system. Prior to 7.3.2, UserEditor.php processes user account creation and permission updates entirely through $_POST parameters with no CSRF token validation. An unauthenticated attacker can craft a malicious HTML page that, when visited by an authenticated administrator, silently elevates any low-privilege user to full administrator or creates a new admin backdoor account without the victim's knowledge This vulnerability is fixed in 7.3.2.

Title
DevSpace UI Server WebSocket CheckOrigin does not validate source
Summary
DevSpace is a client-only developer tool for cloud-native development with Kubernetes. Prior to 6.3.21, DevSpace's UI server WebSocket accepts connections from all origins by default, and therefore several endpoints are exposed via this WebSocket. When a developer runs the DevSpace UI and at the same time uses a browser to access the internet, a malicious website they visit can use their browser to establish a cross-origin WebSocket connection to ws://127.0.0.1:8090. This vulnerability is fixed in 6.3.21.

Title
nginx-ui: Unauthenticated First-Run Installer Allows Remote Initial Admin Claim
Summary
Nginx UI is a web user interface for the Nginx web server. From version 2.0.0 to before version 2.3.8, an unauthenticated network attacker can claim the initial administrator account on a fresh nginx-ui instance during the first-run setup window. The public /api/install endpoint is reachable without authentication, and the request-encryption flow only protects payload confidentiality in transit; it does not authenticate who is allowed to perform installation. A remote attacker who reaches the service before the legitimate operator can set the admin email, username, and password, causing permanent initial-instance takeover. This issue has been patched in version 2.3.8.

A remote attacker who reaches the service before the legitimate operator can set the admin email, username, and password, causing permanent initial-instance takeover. This issue has been patched in version 2.3.8."

Title
Scoold: Persistent Admin Takeover by Overwriting the admins Configuration Setting via Forged JWT (missing `jti` validation)
Summary
Scoold is a Q&A and a knowledge sharing platform for teams. Prior to version 1.67.0, Scoold allows the admins configuration value to be modified through /api/config/set/admins with a forged Bearer token that is accepted as an admin API token. Once that setting is changed, the target email address is written to the application configuration file. The change does not become active immediately in the current process, because the ADMINS set is loaded once at startup. After a Scoold restart, though, the selected user is recognized as an administrator and gains access to the admin panel. This issue gives an attacker a reliable persistence path: write their own email into scoold.admins, wait for a restart or trigger one operationally, and the account comes back as admin. This issue has been patched in version 1.67.0.

Mitigation
Architecture and Design
  • Divide the software into anonymous, normal, privileged, and administrative areas. Identify which of these areas require a proven user identity, and use a centralized authentication capability.
  • Identify all potential communication channels, or other means of interaction with the software, to ensure that all channels are appropriately protected, including those channels that are assumed to be accessible only by authorized parties. Developers sometimes perform authentication at the primary channel, but open up a secondary channel that is assumed to be private. For example, a login mechanism may be listening on one network port, but after successful authentication, it may open up a second port where it waits for the connection, but avoids authentication because it assumes that only the authenticated party will connect to the port.
  • In general, if the software or protocol allows a single session or user state to persist across multiple connections or channels, authentication and appropriate credential management need to be used throughout.
Mitigation MIT-15
Architecture and Design

For any security checks that are performed on the client side, ensure that these checks are duplicated on the server side, in order to avoid CWE-602. Attackers can bypass the client-side checks by modifying values after the checks have been performed, or by changing the client to remove the client-side checks entirely. Then, these modified values would be submitted to the server.

Mitigation
Architecture and Design
  • Where possible, avoid implementing custom, "grow-your-own" authentication routines and consider using authentication capabilities as provided by the surrounding framework, operating system, or environment. These capabilities may avoid common weaknesses that are unique to authentication; support automatic auditing and tracking; and make it easier to provide a clear separation between authentication tasks and authorization tasks.
  • In environments such as the World Wide Web, the line between authentication and authorization is sometimes blurred. If custom authentication routines are required instead of those provided by the server, then these routines must be applied to every single page, since these pages could be requested directly.
Mitigation MIT-4.5
Architecture and Design

Strategy: Libraries or Frameworks

  • Use a vetted library or framework that does not allow this weakness to occur or provides constructs that make this weakness easier to avoid.
  • For example, consider using libraries with authentication capabilities such as OpenSSL or the ESAPI Authenticator [REF-45].
Mitigation
Implementation System Configuration Operation

When storing data in the cloud (e.g., S3 buckets, Azure blobs, Google Cloud Storage, etc.), use the provider's controls to require strong authentication for users who should be allowed to access the data [REF-1297] [REF-1298] [REF-1302].

CAPEC-12: Choosing Message Identifier

This pattern of attack is defined by the selection of messages distributed via multicast or public information channels that are intended for another client by determining the parameter value assigned to that client. This attack allows the adversary to gain access to potentially privileged information, and to possibly perpetrate other attacks through the distribution means by impersonation. If the channel/message being manipulated is an input rather than output mechanism for the system, (such as a command bus), this style of attack could be used to change the adversary's identifier to more a privileged one.

CAPEC-166: Force the System to Reset Values

An attacker forces the target into a previous state in order to leverage potential weaknesses in the target dependent upon a prior configuration or state-dependent factors. Even in cases where an attacker may not be able to directly control the configuration of the targeted application, they may be able to reset the configuration to a prior state since many applications implement reset functions.

CAPEC-216: Communication Channel Manipulation

An adversary manipulates a setting or parameter on communications channel in order to compromise its security. This can result in information exposure, insertion/removal of information from the communications stream, and/or potentially system compromise.

CAPEC-36: Using Unpublished Interfaces or Functionality

An adversary searches for and invokes interfaces or functionality that the target system designers did not intend to be publicly available. If interfaces fail to authenticate requests, the attacker may be able to invoke functionality they are not authorized for.

CAPEC-62: Cross Site Request Forgery

An attacker crafts malicious web links and distributes them (via web pages, email, etc.), typically in a targeted manner, hoping to induce users to click on the link and execute the malicious action against some third-party application. If successful, the action embedded in the malicious link will be processed and accepted by the targeted application with the users' privilege level. This type of attack leverages the persistence and implicit trust placed in user session cookies by many web applications today. In such an architecture, once the user authenticates to an application and a session cookie is created on the user's system, all following transactions for that session are authenticated using that cookie including potential actions initiated by an attacker and simply "riding" the existing session cookie.
