RHSA-2026:68926
Vulnerability from csaf_redhat - Published: 2026-09-18 16:38 - Updated: 2026-09-23 20:49On instances using Auth Proxy header authentication ([auth.proxy]) with identity caching enabled (sync_ttl > 0), two distinct user identities could produce the same cache key. An authenticated low-privileged user able to influence their own forwarded identity attributes could be served a higher-privileged user's cached session and act as that user for the duration of the cache TTL. Default configurations are not affected.

A flaw was found in OpenTelemetry-Go, specifically within its gRPC log exporter. This vulnerability allows a network attacker to bypass the intended private Certificate Authority (CA) pinning and mutual Transport Layer Security (TLS) configurations. The issue arises because the environment-only TLS path incorrectly uses system-trusted certificates instead of the application's configured client certificates. This bypass enables an attacker to intercept and spoof the collector connection, potentially leading to the unauthorized reading or alteration of sensitive log telemetry.
A flaw was found in the OpenTelemetry-Go `BatchingProcessor` component. A remote attacker can exploit this by sending a high volume of log emissions, which can fill the asynchronous export buffer. This causes the processor to enter a tight CPU loop, repeatedly retrying to export logs without proper waiting mechanisms. The consequence is the exhaustion of CPU resources, leading to a degradation or denial of service (DoS) in the affected application.
A flaw was found in joi. A remote attacker can exploit an unanchored regular expression in the `Joi.string().isoDate()` validation rule by supplying a specially crafted string. This input, consisting of a valid ISO date followed by a long sequence of fractional-second digits, causes the regular expression engine to consume excessive processing time. This vulnerability leads to a Regular Expression Denial of Service (ReDoS), allowing the attacker to stall the application with a single request.

"text": "A flaw was found in joi. This vulnerability leads to a Regular Expression Denial of Service (ReDoS), allowing the attacker to stall the application with a single request.",

An unanchored regular expression in the `isoDate` validation rule of the `joi` library allows an attacker to provide a crafted input, leading to excessive resource consumption and application unresponsiveness. This can significantly impact the availability of services utilizing the vulnerable `joi` versions for ISO date validation.",

Vulnerabilities whose description is nearest to this one in the vector space of the CIRCL/vulnerability-attack-technique-biencoder model. This is a similarity search over the bi-encoder space (plain cosine), not a classification, and it has no measured accuracy.
