    Title
AutoGPT SignUp Page has DOM-Based XSS and Open Redirect
    Summary
AutoGPT is a workflow automation platform for creating, deploying, and managing continuous artificial intelligence agents. Versions prior to 0.6.62 have a DOM-based Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability in AutoGPT's signup page. The application improperly trusts a URL parameter (`next`), which is passed to `router.push`. An attacker can craft a malicious link that, when opened by an authenticated user, performs a client-side redirect and executes arbitrary JavaScript in the context of their browser. This could lead to credential theft, internal network pivoting, and unauthorized actions performed on behalf of the victim. Version 0.6.62 patches the issue.

    Title
AutoGPT has a DoS vulnerability in FileStoreBlock with StepThroughItemsBlock
    Summary
AutoGPT is a workflow automation platform for creating, deploying, and managing continuous artificial intelligence agents. Prior to 0.6.63, `StepThroughItemsBlock` can iterate all the contents in a list and send them to `FileStoreBlock` for downloading one by one. Although `FileStoreBlock` has access time limits for downloading files, `StepThroughItemsBlock` can be used to slowly iterate and download relatively small files (e.g., 100M) multiple times. `StepThroughItemsBlock` does not limit the number of loops. In addition, `FileStoreBlock` does not limit the amount of disk space consumed in the current working directory. When a malicious user chooses to download too many videos, the disk space will eventually run out, causing a DoS. Version 0.6.63 patches the issue.

    Title
AutoGPT has a DoS vulnerability in LoopVideoBlock
    Summary
AutoGPT is a workflow automation platform for creating, deploying, and managing continuous artificial intelligence agents. Prior to 0.6.63, AutoGPT's LoopVideoBLock allows users to input a video file and process the video, such as looping it 5 times or extending the time, and finally writing it to disk. However, there is no limit on the resources that can be allocated during execution. For example, the number of loops is user-controllable and unlimited. When a malicious attacker loops too many times, the generated video is too large, and after writing it to disk, the disk space is exhausted, eventually causing DoS. Version 0.6.63 patches the issue.

    Title
AutoGPT: Credit system bypassed via direct block execution in POST /api/blocks/{block_id}/execute
    Summary
AutoGPT is a workflow automation platform for creating, deploying, and managing continuous artificial intelligence agents. Prior to 0.6.59, POST /api/blocks/{block_id}/execute endpoint executes blocks without consuming any credits, regardless of the user's balance. The credit check that exists in the graph execution path (manager.py) is never reached when blocks are called directly via the external API, allowing unlimited free execution of all blocks. This vulnerability is fixed in 0.6.59.

    Title
AutoGPT: SendEmailBlock's IP blocklist bypass allows SSRF via user-controlled SMTP server
    Summary
AutoGPT is a workflow automation platform for creating, deploying, and managing continuous artificial intelligence agents. In versions 0.1.0 through 0.6.51, SendEmailBlock in autogpt_platform/backend/backend/blocks/email_block.py accepts a user-supplied smtp_server (string) and smtp_port (integer) as per-execution block inputs, then passes them directly to Python's smtplib.SMTP() to open a raw TCP connection with no IP address validation. This completely bypasses the platform's hardened SSRF protections in backend/util/request.py — the validate_url_host() function and BLOCKED_IP_NETWORKS blocklist that every other block uses to block connections to private, loopback, link-local, and cloud metadata addresses. An authenticated user on a shared AutoGPT deployment can use this to perform non-blind internal network port scanning and service fingerprinting: smtplib reads the target's TCP banner on connect and embeds it in the exception message, which is persisted as user-visible block output via the execution framework. This issue has been fixed in version 0.6.52.

    Title
AutoGPT Platform: Remote Code Execution via Unsafe Pickle Deserialization of Redis Cache Entries
    Summary
AutoGPT is a workflow automation platform for creating, deploying, and managing continuous artificial intelligence agents. In versions 0.6.34 through 0.6.51, the backend deserializes Redis cache bytes using pickle.loads without integrity/authenticity checks. The write path serializes values with pickle.dumps(...) into Redis and the read path blindly invokes pickle.loads(...) on bytes with no HMAC/signature or strict schema validation gating deserialization. If an attacker can poison a shared-cache key in Redis, arbitrary command execution is possible in the backend container context, affecting confidentiality, integrity, and availability. This issue has been fixed in version 0.6.52.

    Title
AutoGPT: Unauthenticated DoS via Disk Space Exhaustion
    Summary
AutoGPT is a workflow automation platform for creating, deploying, and managing continuous artificial intelligence agents. Versions 0.4.2 through 0.6.51 are vulnerable to an unauthenticated Denial of Service (DoS) through the server due to uncontrolled disk space consumption. The download_agent_file endpoint creates persistent temporary files for every request but fails to delete them after they are served. An unauthenticated attacker can repeatedly call this endpoint to exhaust the server's disk space, causing the database or other system services to fail due to "No space left on device" errors, rendering the entire AutoGPT Platform backend unavailable to all users. This issue has been patched in version 0.6.52.

    Title
AutoGPT has Authenticated Session Hijacking via IDOR
    Summary
AutoGPT is a workflow automation platform for creating, deploying, and managing continuous artificial intelligence agents. Versions 0.6.36 through 0.6.50 are vulnerable to Authenticated Session Hijacking via IDOR. If an authenticated attacker can determine the session_id of another user's session, they can take it over, reading any messages in it and locking the legitimate user out. The PATCH /sessions/{session_id}/assign-user endpoint authenticates the caller but never verifies session ownership: the service layer invokes the session lookup with user_id=None, which the data access layer interprets as a privileged/system call that bypasses the ownership filter, allowing any authenticated user to reassign an arbitrary session to themselves. This issue has been patched in version 0.6.51.

    Title
AutoGPT has missing Docker log rotation on platform containers that allows host disk-exhaustion DoS
    Summary
AutoGPT is a platform that allows users to create, deploy, and manage continuous artificial intelligence agents that automate complex workflows. In AutoGPT, the execution process is recorded to the console (stdout/stderr), and deployed in container mode, which is automatically captured by Docker and stored as "container logs". However, prior to 0.6.32, there is no limit on the log size when the container is deployed. When the number of user accesses is too large, the log on the server disk will be too large, causing disk resource exhaustion and eventually causing DoS. autogpt-platform-beta-v0.6.32 fixes the issue.

    Title
AutoGPT Affected by Remote Code Execution via Dynamic Module Import in Block Loading (__import__)
    Summary
AutoGPT is a platform that allows users to create, deploy, and manage continuous artificial intelligence agents that automate complex workflows. Prior to 0.6.48, an authenticated user could achieve Remote Code Execution (RCE) on the backend server by embedding a disabled block inside a graph. The BlockInstallationBlock — a development tool capable of writing and importing arbitrary Python code — was marked disabled=True, but graph validation did not enforce this flag. This allowed any authenticated user to bypass the restriction by including the block as a node in a graph, rather than calling the block's execution endpoint directly (which did enforce the flag). This vulnerability is fixed in 0.6.48.

    Title
Redos (Regular Expression Denial of Service) at Code Extraction Block in significant-gravitas/autogpt
    Summary
AutoGPT is a platform that allows users to create, deploy, and manage continuous artificial intelligence agents that automate complex workflows. The autogpt before 0.6.32 is vulnerable to Regular Expression Denial of Service due to the use of regex at Code Extraction Block. The two Regex are used containing the corresponding dangerous patterns \s+[\s\S]*? and \s+(.*?). They share a common characteristic — the combination of two adjacent quantifiers that can match the same space character (\s). As a result, an attacker can supply a long sequence of space characters to trigger excessive regex backtracking, potentially leading to a Denial of Service (DoS). This vulnerability is fixed in 0.6.32.

    Title
AutoGPT has a DoS vulnerability in ReadRSSFeedBlock
    Summary
AutoGPT is a platform that allows users to create, deploy, and manage continuous artificial intelligence agents that automate complex workflows. Prior to autogpt-platform-beta-v0.6.32, there is a DoS vulnerability in ReadRSSFeedBlock. In RSSBlock, feedparser.parser is called to obtain the XML file according to the URL input by the user, parse the XML, and finally obtain the parsed result. However, during the parsing process, there is no limit on the parsing time and the resources that can be allocated for parsing. When a malicious user lets RSSBlock parse a carefully constructed, deep XML, it will cause memory resources to be exhausted, eventually causing DoS. This issue has been patched in autogpt-platform-beta-v0.6.32.

    Title
AutoGPT's API Keys and Secrets Logged in Plaintext in Stagehand Integration Blocks
    Summary
AutoGPT is a platform that allows users to create, deploy, and manage continuous artificial intelligence agents that automate complex workflows. Prior to autogpt-platform-beta-v0.6.46, the AutoGPT platform's Stagehand integration blocks log API keys and authentication secrets in plaintext using logger.info() statements. This occurs in three separate block implementations (StagehandObserveBlock, StagehandActBlock, and StagehandExtractBlock) where the code explicitly calls api_key.get_secret_value() and logs the result. This issue has been patched in autogpt-platform-beta-v0.6.46.

    Title
AutoGPT is Vulnerable to RCE via Disabled Block Execution
    Summary
AutoGPT is a platform that allows users to create, deploy, and manage continuous artificial intelligence agents that automate complex workflows. Prior to autogpt-platform-beta-v0.6.44, AutoGPT Platform's block execution endpoints (both main web API and external API) allow executing blocks by UUID without checking the `disabled` flag. Any authenticated user can execute the disabled `BlockInstallationBlock`, which writes arbitrary Python code to the server filesystem and executes it via `__import__()`, achieving Remote Code Execution. In default self-hosted deployments where Supabase signup is enabled, an attacker can self-register; if signup is disabled (e.g., hosted), the attacker needs an existing account. autogpt-platform-beta-v0.6.44 contains a fix.

    Title
AutoGPT Platform Exposes Graph Execution Results via Authorization Gap
    Summary
AutoGPT is a platform that allows users to create, deploy, and manage continuous artificial intelligence agents. In v0.6.15 and below, the external API's get_graph_execution_results endpoint has an authorization bypass vulnerability. While it correctly validates user access to the graph_id, it fails to verify ownership of the graph_exec_id parameter, allowing authenticated users to access any execution results by providing arbitrary execution IDs. The internal API implements proper validation for both parameters. This is fixed in v0.6.16.

    Title
AutoGPT allows cross-user sharing of node execution results through WebSockets API
    Summary
AutoGPT is a platform that allows users to create, deploy, and manage continuous artificial intelligence agents that automate complex workflows. The AutoGPT Platform's WebSocket API transmitted node execution updates to subscribers based on the graph_id+graph_version. Additionally, there was no check prohibiting users from subscribing with another user's graph_id+graph_version. As a result, node execution updates from one user's graph execution could be received by another user within the same instance. This vulnerability does not occur between different instances or between users and non-users of the platform. Single-user instances are not affected. In private instances with a user white-list, the impact is limited by the fact that all potential unintended recipients of these node execution updates must have been admitted by the administrator. This vulnerability is fixed in 0.6.1.

    Title
AutoGPT allows leakage of cross-domain cookies and protected headers in requests redirect
    Summary
AutoGPT is a platform that allows users to create, deploy, and manage continuous artificial intelligence agents that automate complex workflows. Prior to 0.6.1, AutoGPT allows of leakage of cross-domain cookies and protected headers in requests redirect. AutoGPT uses a wrapper around the requests python library, located in autogpt_platform/backend/backend/util/request.py. In this wrapper, redirects are specifically NOT followed for the first request. If the wrapper is used with allow_redirects set to True (which is the default), any redirect is not followed by the initial request, but rather re-requested by the wrapper using the new location. However, there is a fundamental flaw in manually re-requesting the new location: it does not account for security-sensitive headers which should not be sent cross-origin, such as the Authorization and Proxy-Authorization header, and cookies. For example in autogpt_platform/backend/backend/blocks/github/_api.py, an Authorization header is set when retrieving data from the GitHub API. However, if GitHub suffers from an open redirect vulnerability (such as the made-up example of https://api.github.com/repos/{owner}/{repo}/issues/comments/{comment_id}/../../../../../redirect/?url=https://joshua.hu/), and the script can be coerced into visiting it with the Authorization header, the GitHub credentials in the Authorization header will be leaked. This allows leaking auth headers and private cookies. This vulnerability is fixed in 0.6.1.

    Title
AutoGPT allows SSRF due to DNS Rebinding in requests wrapper
    Summary
AutoGPT is a platform that allows users to create, deploy, and manage continuous artificial intelligence agents that automate complex workflows. Prior to 0.6.1, AutoGPT allows SSRF due to DNS Rebinding in requests wrapper. AutoGPT is built with a wrapper around Python's requests library, hardening the application against SSRF. The code for this wrapper can be found in autogpt_platform/backend/backend/util/request.py. The requested hostname of a URL which is being requested is validated, ensuring that it does not resolve to any local ipv4 or ipv6 addresses. However, this check is not sufficient, as a DNS server may initially respond with a non-blocked address, with a TTL of 0. This means that the initial resolution would appear as a non-blocked address. In this case, validate_url() will return the url as successful. After validate_url() has successfully returned the url, the url is then passed to the real request() function. When the real request() function is called with the validated url, request() will once again resolve the address of the hostname, because the record will not have been cached (due to TTL 0). This resolution may be in the "invalid range". This type of attack is called a "DNS Rebinding Attack". This vulnerability is fixed in 0.6.1.

    Title
SSRF Check Bypass in Requests Utility in significant-gravitas/autogpt
    Summary
A Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) vulnerability was identified in the Requests utility of significant-gravitas/autogpt versions prior to v0.4.0. The vulnerability arises due to a hostname confusion between the `urlparse` function from the `urllib.parse` library and the `requests` library. A malicious user can exploit this by submitting a specially crafted URL, such as `http://localhost:\@google.com/../`, to bypass the SSRF check and perform an SSRF attack.

    Title
Shell Command Denylist Bypass in significant-gravitas/autogpt
    Summary
A vulnerability in significant-gravitas/autogpt version 0.5.1 allows an attacker to bypass the shell commands denylist settings. The issue arises when the denylist is configured to block specific commands, such as 'whoami' and '/bin/whoami'. An attacker can circumvent this restriction by executing commands with a modified path, such as '/bin/./whoami', which is not recognized by the denylist.

    Title
OS Command Injection in MacOS Text-To-Speech Class in significant-gravitas/autogpt
    Summary
An OS command injection vulnerability exists in the MacOS Text-To-Speech class MacOSTTS of the significant-gravitas/autogpt project, affecting versions up to v0.5.0. The vulnerability arises from the improper neutralization of special elements used in an OS command within the `_speech` method of the MacOSTTS class. Specifically, the use of `os.system` to execute the `say` command with user-supplied text allows for arbitrary code execution if an attacker can inject shell commands. This issue is triggered when the AutoGPT instance is run with the `--speak` option enabled and configured with `TEXT_TO_SPEECH_PROVIDER=macos`, reflecting back a shell injection snippet. The impact of this vulnerability is the potential execution of arbitrary code on the instance running AutoGPT. The issue was addressed in version 5.1.0.
